Add a report section for complaints

I recently made a post under the maintenance announcement yesterday but I wanted to make a separate post and gather everyone's thoughts on this.

 

As I said, this forum needs a report section for complaints and grievances. A lot of players are sick and tired of the cheating and griefing, and it isn't fun to sit there while someone farms all the kills while everyone else powerless to stop it.

 

There are little resources in game to stop people from cheating during matches, and I think that the anger that people are feeling mostly stems from not being able to speak out as there is a rule against "naming and shaming". I think this idea needs to be flipped on its head, where people can provide proof and then staff can actively decide, in front of everyone, who is or isn't a cheater. The ticket system takes too long to get a response, and I think that would at least divert some attention away from them so we as a public forum can see what actually takes place and make our minds up.

 

This solves the issue in multiple ways:

 

Education - Teaching other players how to recognise hacks is important. A lot of videos online of people cheating come from the cheater themselves trying to plug their software. Some claim that twitch streamers will actively stream themselves cheating and people are told to go to the Discord to make a complaint instead.

 

Transparency - Telling us the SARD stats just isn't good enough, we need to see definitive proof that players who are caught cheating will be dealt with in the moment. Having a response from a member of staff that the cheater will be dealt with is satisfying and contributes to the goodwill of the game. We need to know that cheaters (especially known ones) risk permanent banning outright if they are caught cheating.

 

Fairness - Cheating is just plain unfair. I know it is easy to hackusate when you are being killed by a gold using a meta weapon, but there should be a way to distinguish genuinely good players from the cheaters, so legitimate golds don't have their reputations ruined by false accusations. Keeping evidence on an open forum can help people to see when someone is or isn't cheating, rather than just believing they are and having their gameplay ruin.

 

So please, you have volunteers here who want to help, you have players who want the problem solved and I know you can do something. Add a report section and let people help.

 

Finally, let me know your thoughts. I think this would be a very big step in the right direction, as players are leaving shortly after new updates due to the cheating problem.
