Oh the strife, the gun I have a love hate relationship with, I love it in theory, but in practise.......... it just, it just sucks. Now back years ago I played with this gun and even then it was underpowered, but I played with it anyway, I got good with it, even got abit of a reputation from using it. But now it's just terrible, I dunno what you over there in little orbit did to it, or if it's just the server's capablty to register shot's has went to hell but damn, the thing is suppose to ht for what 800-900? within it's effective range but 90% of the time you will barely do 300 damage leaving you shiz out of luck in any close range enguagement even if your barrel was pressed against the back of your oponents skull.
I don't know if this gun did infact get nerfed with the other shotguns, if it did..... what the mother F where you thinking? If it didn't..... what the mother F did you do to hit registration for shotguns? Ether way something need's to be done, even quick switching with the Strife just feel's aweful, just damn aweful, blowtorch would be more reliable. Please Little Orbit do something to make this gun actually competative, give it a niche that it can play into other then just "BIG DAMAGE" as that obviously doesnt work.
I have a few suggestion's to add to the end, which I think would give it a niche for those who are crafty enough to take advantage. The first would be make it silenced, and not just "oh we are removing tracers" silenced, I mean like the Condor silenced, make it not appear on radar and have a low noise profile making it a assassin shotgun, get in, silently take down your enemy with the big damage and bounce. Next, tighten the pellet spread abit, currently the spread of the Strife is pretty wide, and with it's big potential damage and low cycle time it's obvious that the strife is suppose to be a gun that favour's acuracy over spamming out round's, but with it's current pellet spread, acuracy feel's unrewarded as I have previously mentioned when your not dealing the damage in the first place. I have other suggestions if you want but I dont wanna flood you so lets let that set.

I think your overlooking or just straight up missing the entire point of his post, it's not about comparing 1 shotgun to another, it's about how unreliable shotgun's are now post nerf. 99.9% of the time SMG's are just 100x more reliable and more effective in any and all combat scenario's even in corner camping where shotgun's are suppose to hit there real prime. This is why we have seen a rapid decline in the use of shotguns amoung the APB community, everyone that would normally use a CSG20 or JG or hell even an NFAS have now just swapped over to using OCA's and PMG's because they require far less skill and land there intended damage with almost flawless certainty unlike shotguns which feel like spinning a roulette wheel everytime you shoot someone.

I just want them to make it a revolver counterpart to the Colby 45.ap, similar range and damage but with maybe better acuracy but smaller magazine size. That way we can finnaly have a competant revolver for closer range combat since the Snub is gimp and the Showstopper is a giant turd post nerf. Common Little Orbit, make it happen, my wife wants to be able to go wild west on people tushies without having to try to use the Colby Commander in close range.

Can kill's by blowing up a vehicle PLEASE count toward role progression? For the longest time it has made no sense that APB would have dedicated anti vehicle weaponry like rockets and AV machineguns or even AV Snipers and then force people to instead injure cars and hope to kill the enemy once there out of it just to get kill's toward there role. It just makes no sense, why it wouldnt, get a kill with that sweet as hell long range conc throw blowing up someones fleeing vehicle? Why should you not be rewarded for your efforts? calculate your enemy vehicle route and spawn in to intercept blowing up there car with a Volcano, why should you not get credit for that? Surf around on your buddies car chasing down players that are relocating with your dedicated AV gun, why should APB deny you just cus your killing a player by using there vehicle against them? Please Little Orbit, common, make it happen.

Loadouts ?
in Game
In high level play people often change guns and even to a less extent mod's mid match to suit the area the mission takes place, the type of objective or even to attempt to counter the enemies weaponry. To embrace this idea, I think it would be interesting if as you rank up your character you unlock new Loadout slot's with a max total of 5. A Loadout would be able to save your primary and secondary weapon and there mod's, your character mod's, consumable item's, vehicle and it's mod's and even objective equipment. You could then swap your loadout which could be named for convenience at joker vending machines, mail boxes or vehicle spawners, but NOT ammo car's, field suppliers or ammo boxes. This way you could save several setup's to adapt to your objectives rapidly without having to drudge through your list of guns and mods wasting prescious time. What do you guys and gals think ?

DB Shotgun would be nice, 2 shots only, semi-quick reload. Problem being, make it kill in 2, 3, or 4 shots? Could be like the strife where it 2 shots, but with a double barrel having a dual-action trigger, it would mean zero chance of survival if you got close to them, although perhaps that could be countered with sharp damage dropoff starting at 10m and zeroing out at like 25-30m. The way I imagine you could do a double barrel is make the reload fast-ish but not TOO fast as to make it not a big deal if you miss your shots, and it should be hand loaded. It should be 2 shots to kill, similar damage to the strife but much wider pellet spread and harsh drop off. Essentially IF you could land both shots consistently it would be the perfect ambush gun insta killing players rounding corner's, but if you miss a shot you should pay for it unless your enemy sucks of course. However for it's devistatingly fast potential TTK it would have very little range, so people may even want to pare it with Fragile or Epenefrin Injectors and only take shot's once in that perfect sub 10 meter range, to make sure it fits that playstle too make it's dedicated JMB mod red so no IR3.
With the Far, the way I look at it, is it's like a cross between an ATAC and a STAR, faster and better at sprey and prey then the STAR but not as good as the ATAC, however has the acuracy when tap firing of a STAR unlike the ATAC. All in all the FAR series are very very good guns and imo atleast 1 of the best assault tifle's out there. Now if you want something thats more like a carbine reskin, you should try the COBRA series, there off the hip acuracy is insanely good with a reflex sight and essentially work as a full auto carbine with assault rifle range. -

Incorrect, the FAR series are there own unique gun, they have a higher bloom but a higher fire rate. You stand corrected :3

I don't mind if it is a single double barrel shotgun, whether it be full length or sawn-off, however I would love to see dual pistol's as a weapon, with no marksman mode and independent fire between left and right hand with left and right clicking :3

The first would be a double barrel shotgun, there is a backpack with these but no actual double barrel in game, seems like such an opertunity missed. The next would be a STAR 556 reskin, there is basically a reskin for just about every other gun but the good ole reliable STAR, why not?

APB doesnt just need a new engine to suceed, the engine update is just 1 piece of the puzzel. APB need advertisement, trailer's, merchandise, a rebrand and relaunch, hype to be built threw social colaberation, new districts new content, REAL matchmaking, and a fundemental change in the games etnire core systems.So yes, couldnt agree with you more, it is the worst thing LO could do just releasing 3.5 and hoping everything is hunky dory. I personally would have prefered they bought the IP off G1, shut the servers down, worked on the game over 2 years in the background all while building hype, putting out tweats, making teaser trailers, revamping the entire game, hell give the game a rename, fudge APB reloaded, rebrand it as literally just All Points Bulliton.

Honestly at this point, a game based on APB would probably be better lol, aslong as it bases itself on the core fundementals IE the massive character and vehicle cutomization. Nobody wants a APB that is class based or makes you play as god aweful character's. Hell I would rather see a million over sexuallized super skinny slooty chars then 1 APB that takes notes from overwatch lol. Might I add anyone who knows me will tell you how much I hate super skinny slooty chars lol.

Lets say your even half right, back when I played, that never would have happened, cus the people who played cared enough to know the roleover times and put there shiz on IMMEDIATELY after rollover advertising there clothes or art work or clans yada yada yada. I mean I use to sell custome designed car's and I would literally be sat online waiting for the bid's to end so I could put my advertisement up on the billboard's and my car's on the display's. I mean if your right and primetime on EU is Oooo so full, well then why where the nights I played during primetime empty, where not even a full mission district was full? what I just happened to get unlucky and everyone decided to go for a pee at the same time untill I left.

I completely agree, I honestly feel in part that LO was jipped out of there money with APB lol. Like you said I dont doubt ether the good intentions of LO, I just can't see APB becomming something worth people's time without a drastic transformation in the games image on the whole.

So I have played APB over the years on and off, I was well known among the EU community at one point despite not being some famous youtuber or twitch streamer. I have always had a love for APB knowing it had great potential but being sadened by the lack of cares on behalf of the previous developer G1. SO being along time since I played last, I logged on last night and today, what I was met with was lower frame rates the never before, screen freezes every 1-2 minutes, half empty districts and not even a single social district full at any one time.
Sitting in social district looking for people to talk to today was depressing, straight up made me get some serious sad feel's. Hardly anyone was there, nobody was talking other then 2-3 russians, the billboards where empty, car display's hadnt been bought. I mean these are things bought and sold on a weekly roleover so its not like I was just on at the wrong time of day. It literally felt like walking threw a ghost town.
I know Little Orbit has done little bits here and there, with there biggest edition being the Riot game mode, and I know there supposedly working hard on the engine update. But one has to wonder, is it all too little too late? I mean I understand Little Orbit means well, but they bought a game that already had an expirey date, there was no time to dilly dally, and a few new pay for guns and a game mode people can get in other more widely known and popular games really doesnt help all that much. On the note of that I don't think the engine update will help ether? why? Cus people don't know about APB, the game needs a makeover, a payed for community colaberation with streamers and youtubers to promote the game, advertisements on gaming websites and hell a new trailer. What APB need' is an official relaunch.
Hey you may disagree, but, I feel bleak and sad for APB's future and I really wish Little Orbit the best of luck and hope I am wrong.

You completely missed the entire point. the point is hackers or no hackers, every legit player was not a pro because at that point your pros didnt exhist. so when fighting legit people they had all the ample opertunity to become better, but now the skill desperity between the vet player and the new up and comming player is so vast that there is no hope of learning or progressing. I may or may not have reeched my personal skill cap ether way thats a moot point. I cant simply go out and find peopleto play with when the APB comunity is so cancerous finding nice people is more dificault then beating hackers lol.
In essence asking a player to get passed that skill freshold in the games current state is like asking a wild salmon to survive the next 5 years in sewer water, then when it dies due to toxic shock or whatever other issue you shout at the fish "stupid fish learn to survive in sewer water ffs you noob". In a college for instanace, if you want your students to flurish, thrive and learn you have to give them ample opertunity and make as many paths as possible to do so, you cant take a child that doesnt know what numbers are and ask them the awnser to 2+2. Its the equivelant to shouting louder at a foreign person hoping they will understand you better... shouting doesnt make them understand english, it just makes you look like a giant prick and makes them hate english people. -

Case and Point. I dont want to win I want a challanging and engaging mission where its hard fought but win or lose I had ample opertunity to learn and progress. However players like me are caught in a no win scenario where we learn nothing from silver or bronze dis in there current states. It feels like we mist the boat that already sailed years gone bye to the promised semi pro land lol, back in the days when the game was young and there was less hackers players had the opertunity to learn and progress past this point because your wanna be pros simply didnt exhist back then. But now those same players are the wannabe pros and all they do is rofl stomp anyone who would have the hope of progressing into being a fulltime gold. The gold vets moan at players like me saying stuff like Git Gud and learn to play, but since they never started playing the game in its current state and learned all there skills before it became its cesspool self back then that would have been good advice but it is frankly no longer relevent.

Not everyone is a mental masochist that likes to be stomped all day to play the RNG game of winning vs a hacker. It sounds like me that your the type of player that would play darksouls and perposefully get invaded at low levels by over geared twinks just for the slim chance you can knock them off a ledge and have a few lols.

The thing is some people do play games to push themselves and still cant get into APB because there is no real lane of progression to be had once you reach the mid point of the skill track. APB is the equivilant of having a step ladder with all the middle steps missing, so you climb up abit and your suppose to jump up to the rest of the steps ? thats a pretty wack ladder yo.

I dont purposefully dethreat, I could try my hardest and still end up back to silver eventually on silver dis after a few hours as the amount of hackers alone on Citadel silver dis turns players I know that are better then me silver even.

Kudos to you for deciding to stick to silver districts, I remember all too well how difficult the transition from bronze to silver can be.

Ty for the Kudos, I just wish there was anything at all I could learn from the scenario of walking around a corner and dieing in the blink of an eye before even getting to fire a single bullet. Over the years I have acumilated a couple of thousand hours, but I could play these guys for 10 thousand hours and learn nothing, simply put there is nothing to be learned from being insta killed with no chance to fight back.

They are the real problem, not the rest of players.
He is "sympathizing" with me because the games matchmaking has been broke for years, I shouldnt be fighting bronzes and low silvers, but at the same time I shouldnt be forced to play wanna be pro's every single day. If there was no threat system my play wouldnt change at all, it would still be a cancer cesspool as it has been for years now, the only people you would be penalizing would be the bronzes that now have to fight your wanna be pros too and finnaly maybe they would see why so many people in my position dont wanna play silver dis gaining a new apreciation.

The issue is I cant find people similar skill level to myself on silver dis, all I can find is wanna be pro's and hackers. Some of the hardest, best and most fun matchs I have had have been on Bronze dis against fellow players like myself stuck in the midrift. However I stick to silver dis now just to please people like yourself and sacrifice any chance I ever had of having ayn fun ruining my leasure time.

So considering what Matt Scott said about dethreating being a game exploit and seeing Battle Eye was added ever since I have came back to APB I have been trying to stick to silver district for better or for worse.
So quick disclaimer I am a low gold, I have been playing APB on and off for quite a few years now and I consider myself a decent player, on citadel a portion of the community know me and some people even hold some modecom of respect towards me, however I by no means claim to be even close to pro at APB. Now onto the issue at hand, I have nowhere to play and I am not the only one stuck in this really shiz place with no district to call home. Bronze district is too easy, I win 9 out of 10 of my matches there and the vast megority of people I fight pose little threat. Now silver dis between the try hards and the still very obvious hacker community is too hard. Now I am all for a challange, some of the best friends I have made in APB have been players I have fought very dificault matchs with or against, these sort of fights you can learn from, you learn what you did well and what you did bad. Where you are good and what you can improve upon win or lose. However so many times in silver district Im thrown to the wolves and no matter what stratergy I imploy, no matter what weapon I use, no matter how many times I try and flank oponents I am treated to the same display of my enemy prefiring every corner I walk around hitting every shot on me killing me in half a second leaving me no time to react. What do I learn from this type of fight? Nothing, the advice of my team mates? Usually gos something like this "your a noob, you suck, go you're awesome, get the F off silver dis, uninstall the game".
So now you can see my issue, I DT I am an exploiting scum bag that gets whispered by everyone I kill for being a gold on bronze dis, I go silver dis and I should uninstall the game and kill myself because aparantly not having a qauter of a second reaction time constitutes failing as a human being. So please Little Orbit, hell anyone at this point, throw me a bone, what do you want me to do? Advice would be nice cus I am sick and tired of getting abuse off other players and considering your stance on DTing I feel like frankly your not on people like me's side ether and hate us like everyone else.

yup 9/10 times even if your oponent was standing still and your crosshair is dead center of mass it feel's like rolling a dice to whether or not you will get the damage you rightfully earned.
