    Always read the fine print.

Companies get to get away with far too much these days for this not to make my stomach turn, you have companies like digital extremes adding in clauses in theirs which amount to "you're not allowed to take us to court - it must be settled PRIVATELY (with NO repercussions for our actions) " or "let us collect your data, stop using that pesky VPN or we will outright BAN you"

And then it actually holds up in some cases purely because you unwittingly accepted the EULA which changes at whim, expecting the company to have any shred of morals

You just know LO would up to the same shenanigans if they'd be as successful lol

Brain dead fucking take. You're playing on a privately owned game with established rules and guidelines. If they say you can't do something, you just don't do it.

They aren't going to make a list for your personal convenience because they don't owe you a thing.  Accept the answer you've been given and stop trying to appeal to vagueness and pretend that there must be something unclear or hypocritical about what they're doing. What about XYZ? What about such and such? What about it lmfao

The confederate flag isn't allowed and it isn't necessary to play here, so if you don't like it, make your own game or go elsewhere.

Also comparing a fear of cars to an established historical atrocity? Come the hell on dude, think clearly.

Cringe. Lots of symbols are banned from the game, there was a player who made a German uniform from WW2 and got his patootie handed to him then threw a tantrum like you are expecting the world to bend in his favour. Again, not anyone's problem.

This isn't cancel culture, are you kidding? You're not being deplatformed, you're being asked not to use a symbol on SOMEONE ELSE'S GAME. What don't you get about the EULA you agreed to before playing?

    lol

IF THE EULA SAYS THE COMPANY CAN BARGE THROUGH MY DOOR AND BANG MY WIFE THEN SO IT SHALL BE! THEMS THE RULES NOW AFTERALL..

tell me, how does that corporate boot taste?

“Bothered by everything” is quite an interesting take on this. I came here to see if there was a quick solution, not bitching and moaning or demanding some policy change now that I’m aware there’s nothing to be done about it. You’ll be okay, I promise.

change your name to something that doesn't immediately identify you as a female and of course change your looks too if you go that route, bonus points if you try to talk like a guy more

  4. LO would be wise to ban it all or none at all, if you're after one politically aligned reference then you should take it's opposing political spectrum stuff down too. It's fair and you just make it look like you want to keep your business apolitical, no one gets mad since no one gets to shove their political allegiance in others faces and instead focus on playing the game.

  5. its insane how they've been charging the same 20 bucks for the same gun with comically menial cosmetic changes like chopping off the stock or adding a different one and calling it a day, done on a lunch break basically lol i feel like this should've been a skin option

its like buying permission to fold a stock to the side for easier handling in tight spaces

    but yeah eassyyy mooneeyyy

LTL were hated a lot from the community at the beginning.because they used to be a lot stronger when released.... the sentiment is totally disappeared nowadays because LTL sucks, except someone, when they were noobs, they are ""traumatized"" of being t-backed and hate the idea but... I think majority share IT'S A WASTE THIS WEAPONS DIDNT GET THE RIGHT DEVELOPMENT in missions and increase the difference between Cops and crims, which it's very thin LinE !!!!!

it would've be fun make a fight club with LTL cops vs crims..OFC with  kill/ arrest calculated differently

    •  Arrests count as double than kills, same as are the un-cuffs by crims
    •  Total final Arrests count and rewards are shared between the Cops, because roleplaying cops shall've a lot of more cameraderie and teamwork than dirty mercenary crims... and also  especially avoiding people petty diatribes between players stealing arrests...

G1 before and especially LO later promised do something about LTL and arrest mechanics adding in the new missions.. but well you know...

Put that squib-load, airsoft, embarrassment of a gun back in that closet where it belongs and fight me like a real gamer

  7. no thanks, the last thing we need is a meta forming around stunGL spam and players playing exclusively on the enf side to get top score for jt

stuns with regular stabba likely don't count for the same reason because it pays far more

    A single open slot CSG...
This just feels like marketing which can't be asked to even try to sell.

ikr, what's next? they're gonna "reverse engineer" more and make us regret every single one of our built-in mod weapon purchases now? (granted it was never a smart choice to buy one to begin with, but in the case of CSG there was no alternative until now, why buy them at all if they'll keep pulling this shit)

    fucking hell LO

This game seems cursed, it is already leading 3 companies to ruin.

remember when Matt used to post on forums regularly? remember how proactive this company was, fresh off of making games for children? then they picked up apb and its like they just aged 20 years in 5.. coughing and wheezing, gray hair and all

  10. My favorite guns are the loudest ones for that intimidation factor like the CSG

I can't think of a gun I hate besides the SBSR, that's it really

(Also, if someone could help me identify the CR762's real life counterpart I would be really grateful.)

Just my guess but it seems to resemble the SSG550 series (long barrel) given the similar grooves on the handguard, also if you look closely the lower receiver of the CR762 is the same one on the joker SR15 so it's likely based on the same gun as well, probably the SSG552.

  11. I'm pretty sure the idea there was you start as a nobody, commanded and sent out on missions by also, for the most part - nobodies (but ever so slightly higher up the food chain than you).

You haven't gone that far but the contacts you get referred to after each one, get more and more prestigious until eventually you meet with their respective leaders and then after the seasoned veteran superstars of the show.

It goes pretty well with the lengthy ranking system which can take a literal year to reach the current max level even with premium on a single character, but yeah it's true that there is some missing lore tidbits here and there that was scrapped a long time ago and is now forgotten in favor of milking this game financially of all its worth.

    PS edit:

Hypothetically speaking, game going open source is an interesting idea and experiment, as im not sure how it would work out. It could be a fun playground for a while if owners just let everyone have all the items instantly, but that would kind of get boring eventually. Biggest gripe with private servers especially for shooter game would be handling of cheaters, then the accounts, and keeping the game up to begin with. So while it might be a fun place to just play APB purely for APB and missions, considering you had enough players for that, progression would definitely suffer. I imagine it would look something like OTW currently, where there is everything available for free

They could at the very least implement steam workshop and let players make content themselves that they would then integrate having half the work already done for them, think uncustomized "canvas" clothing or weapon reskins, kind of how warframe does it

The player makes a skin and the price paid by a consumer of course, being 5-7 bucks gets shared between steam, the game owner and the creator. Incentive for everyone involved suiting their interest.

Negativity is ironically good, because it helps them to recognize that their stupid fucking FOMO scummy desperation sales where they drag out the FFA and Temptress to milk whoever is left, wont fuckin work lmao. The silence is deafening. There hasnt been any progress in years. The only "progress" they ever made was the 64 bit. Even the "legendaries" they made were old G1 templates that were just never released lmao

these are all valid criticisms and not im trying to diverge the discussion from them, merely suggesting that everyone's time could be better spent quite literally anywhere else than caring about this ship that has already sunk

criticism when constructive and actually taken in account by the other party is helpful for anyone to improve, if your intent is to just mockingly demean them (which lets be real they kinda deserve it), i wouldn't bother at all so they keep failing

thats just me though, look at how well baldur's gate 3 is doing without utilizing any of the business practices(as far as i can tell from a quick glance anyway) that you scorn LO for

  14. i'd hate to pile on the negativity in here so i'll just say i'm thankful for the awful state and progress on this game throughout the years, at least i'm not nearly as addicted to video games anymore and the lack of alternatives for apb was pivotal in me actually doing more productive things in my spare time, i wish you folks the same

They could add the gun game mode to fightclub.

they could and they know many would like that but they instead opt for holding it hostage to use as a tool to compliment sales, its what happens you have nothing else enticing to show for and cant be bothered making anything new

  16. at least run the gun game event for as long as you're trying to milk the player base with the usual recycled yard finds, do you think this sounds enticing enough for one to reinstall and come back for like one day at a very specific SINGULAR set time and day?

if the GMs can't stand to moderate this community or subject themselves to interact with it all anymore (and i really cant blame them if so) why not employ someone to build a script so the game launches these events several times throughout the day by itself instead of doing it manually
