In my opinion information in discord is not public. Anything you need to create account to see, is not public information. And it is okay, to keep some information not public. But keep almost all information there. Is that good? It is developers choice.

Keeping people dark is that good business practice. They must have felt it, when provider did not inform incoming problems. Sure they have more rights, they had business contract. And they get rights to damages, and maybe even punitive damages. If they withhold information, in what was going to happen.
And next next next.
Any business is hard. And business bases on trust. And is that so much different than, player and developer relationship bases on trust. So how you build trust? I wound say telling publicly.(Sure I am also passively- aggressive some times.) But in business, if you want to build trust, it is not good to be like that. Or in player relationships?
