I get you're probably trying to prevent people from spamming.. However, things like this will serve to exclude legitimate users. For instance, i'm not comfortable giving my phone number, and any time something asks me for my password, without telling me why it needs it, that's an automatic red flag. It's not just an inconvenience, it's a deal-breaker.

What's up with the discord anyway? i hafta provide my phone number for verification, and then discord prompts me for my password.. i've literally never had that happen.

Yeah, i'm entirely disinterested now. All the drama, the loss of the Descent IP rights..too much. The email says we'll get the game we backed. That's literally impossible. I backed a Descent game, that's not what's going to be delivered. And then for LO to tell us we can't get a refund? That's utter crap. I backed a Descent game, i don't want whatever this is. I'd love to have my money back, though.
