Sorry I interpreted your comment about "even now in bronze" to heavily imply that no one cheats in bronze and thus that being the only reason someone could be banned for. Of course people are still getting banned for their foul behavior.

No I meant cuz you play in bronze, Ive been facing the same blatant hackers every day in silver since LO announced they basically dont have a functioning anti cheat.

Also, other than giving us a new forum, Im not sure what else they have "done". I have no problems with LO, but at least where I come from actions earn trust, not words.

That's all Im trying to say.

 

But just to be clear, you are saying you know of players who have been banned for "cheats" since LO took over?

I think what people are upset about is not that LO hasn't yet made the game cheat-free, but rather that by announcing to us all that FF is out of date, they dont trust it, and are having to manually evaluate every single ban, it has led to a surge in the number of cheaters in the game on a daily basis.

We can't have it both ways. If we want LO tell us everything they can, and then they so happen to tell us something that makes people go cheat crazy as they shoot their sticky loads whilst they still can before BattlEye comes along and cuts their jacobs off, then that's part of the deal, imo.

 

 

And again, I'd dispute that it's any crazier than it has been for the last 18 months or so since PB was turned off.

We dont want it both ways. Aside from cheaters, I dont think anyone wanted LO to admit they have no real working anti cheat.

It was just a dumb idea. LO screened the questions before hand. They decided which questions Kemp could and couldnt ask. Some questions were turned down, that one was not. They did not tell us "everything" they told us what they chose to tell us. Which was smart aside from this one topic.

I'm taking a short break until Battleye drops. I'd rather LO take their time and do it right than rush out a 'fix' and make things worse. How mad would people be then?

I can't even imagine what they walked in to, weirdly patched servers barely working. Coding they have never laid eyes upon. Can you even imagine the learning curve they must have? I don't envy the job they have. But I am pleased they are sharing info and doing things in a non-rushed but timely manner. Kudos to them.

While I doubt they were clueless when they walked in, yes APB was in a sad state.

And we certainly shouldn't hold them accountable for anything but what they've said and what they've promised.

Can't be done. BE is client-side and you generally have to accept it's license and terms when it's being installed like old PB. So everyone will clearly see that it's now live.

The communication isn't a problem. The problem is that they openly admitted to tuning FF down even lower and disabling the auto-banning feature. So you legit have a much large amount of people going ham right now because there's practically zero risk of getting banned. It's akin to when FF was first implemented. They threw it up quietly, a bunch of people continued to rage hack, got flagged, and then got banned. Then G1 thought it was the smartest move to not only announce FF but openly state that it mainly tracks a players stats, so then a lot of high-rank hard-botters started closeting a lot more and went for months and years under the radar.

 

That's like announcing to everyone in a large Casino that your Security Cameras are no longer working but they will be soon, and you have a few people walking around to catch the cheaters and thiefs. Yeah, SOME will still get caught, but a whoooooooooooooole lot more are gonna get away with it.

I don't know what people expect and makes thme all stream back to the game if they stopped playing. NOTHING changed yet. it makes sense to return when battle eye will be out. And given that FF is said to be active, i still think its set to: no one gets banned. because given the blatant cheating atm with extreme settings it surely does nothing at all.

People come back because of that spark of hope and nostalgia i presume. Though some come just to cash in before the changes.

Little Orbit made it clear they are removing the server ban notices because of how toxic it made things become.

plus just a screenshot doesn't prove anyone is cheating or not anyways - not saying they were not but it cant show anything to prove for or against them - only that they were there

 

it would take a video of that and not a laggy one which means a decent computer to record them with

A Geforce graphics card has built in recording so id recommend a 1080 Ti graphics card but if you are on a budget a 1050 ti would be good enough

You have to be patient, the new admins are literally green. Gamersfirst left the house with the water running and they are trying to clean up. If you would be more patient and read, you would realize that the anti-cheat is under heavy maintenance right now. Anyways see you tomorrow.
