Agree with Blackout, new area on the Social District instead of a completely different new map.

Why not?

Care to elaborate what this district would have and be like?

Devil's advocate, I guess - though this thread is super barebones and doesn't go into any details, the idea itself isn't bad if we're talking about a mission district. Between Financial (a generic downtown area) and Waterfront (a generic industrial-esque area), what theme for a district could fit in? I think the casino theme could work - high life, high stakes, celebration of money as the most important thing...

For real though, OP, please develop your threads. You say "casino district" but you're not saying anything about it. What exactly do you have in mind when you say "casino district"?

Not as a new district but as a new area in social then sure.  Maybe they could put some of those empty rooms in the galleria to some use.

I think they should generally overhaul breakwater galleria. Beside the display points we can find everything at other location in social district. They could add the casino there and still able to keep places for other social extensions.

Other idea would be to use the corners next to breakwater galleria. Either directlly add the casino there:

Or use it as passage to a different part of social district in combination with a pier:

More ways make the second area easier accessible. Display Points that get removed from the corner could be placed inside and next to the new passages.

Well that's matter of open discussion, don't we already know what type of games are in casinos?

Well i made this short and simple, so i can actually see whether this idea brings any interest from other members, i don't have any specific ideas in mind, but now you guys are talking and giving your ideas, thank you for your feedback. P.S The devil's advocate line was hilarious. 😄

That's a really good idea actually.  It always bugged me how empty that corner by the galleria was.  My only concern about new areas is that Social was obviously designed for way more people at a time than we currently have in it due to the low population, which makes it feel big and empty.  Everyone always standing at Diamond Plaza, the only place where you can customize doesn't help.  Hopefully the population will get a big surge soon with the EU and Riot so players can be spread out and Social won't feel so empty.  But I also feel like a casino would also draw a lot more people to Social on it's own.  Personally I love casino games and would probably spend a lot of time there.  Having it in the opposite corner of the map might also help with it looking less dead because there would be players moving between the two areas pretty often, making it look a lot more busy.

Well to be a bit frank, It's easy and I'm sure everyone could post a new threat with a 1 line suggestion for a new district.

Everyone wants new content but to just say "casino district" is going to  mean different thing to different people.

A new action district would be great, maybe themes around Las Vegas but I don't see how it would be fitting the theme of APB completely. San Paro just isn't a city of glitz, glamour and shining lights...

A extension to Social district with gambling mini game has been suggested before but wouldn't be a bad thing, the old social district cinema always felt a bit hollow...

Again it's easy to say yes to a concept but without substance to the concept it's just open to interpretation and a bit pie in the sky.

Without that substance, your poll is not going to be a good representation of what people expect or want...  You put up a poll asking people if they'd like a casino district but what is it going to look like, what is it going to feature, it's it a new action district or social district extension, if it is an action district then will there be games you can interact with...

A lack of substance to a closed yes or no question is what caused the UK's brexit to be late and failing!

Without trying to sound rude there is a General Discussion forum, but this is a Suggestions subforum and there isn't really enough detail here to consider it.

What people vote for isn't always what they're going to get if it's not clarified.

[basically the entirety of the post]

This is exactly my issue with this thread.

OP, you're not being smart here by throwing some loose idea to the public and letting people discuss the vague post. You're effectively having us write your post for you. If your idea boils down to two words and no further elaboration, and you're hiding behind "I want to hear other people's opinions", you're hardly contributing anything.

I assume that the most readers did understand what i meant and know for sure since i didn't have any need to correct anyone's misinterpretations, that could only start at the beginning of the topic.

Casino as social district extension sounds great.

Everyone already figured out what we're talking about here, it's either you or someone else who can feel free to ask questions before voting, or it's me who can provide more detailed OP, so you don't have to ask anything. You can post your individual idea, if it's good you can get many/most likes.

It's ok i'm not offended.

I was lazy when i started this topic, i admit that. I was waiting for interest and replies, i have participated in discussion, i didn't have any detailed idea in my mind, so all those who are interested can bring their own ideas and we can see what's the best overall idea.

Take it easy and peace be with you!

Having been a former Surveillance Operator & investigator as well as Security & Main Cage Cashier for casinos, I can tell you that

State Gaming Police commissioned by each state's Department of Revenue - Division of Gaming, patrol & have jurisdiction on gaming floors (Where gambling legally occurs & is allowed via table games or slot machines,) in casinos & only outsource to local PD when housing those arrested.  They usually go in between casinos all day dealing with issues or investigations themselves. Armored truck personnel picks up the bank deposits after all the money's been counted in the count room which has effectively been pulled from the Drop Team who pull all the full bill validators out of all the machines & then locks them in giant metal cages with wheels.

If they did do a Casino-District you would need to make casinos with hotel levels above them and also make it so that you could access the interiors of said casinos. A whole slew of missions could be custom-tailored around all the operations of a casino and at all their vulnerable points in time. Not to mention the surveillance room controlling their hundreds of cameras & refrigerated NVR (Network Video Recorders,) rooms with encoders & server hard-drive racks where all the network cable goes from each camera that could all be destroyed as part of criminal missions or the drop cages being targets in getting monies & so on. There are also restaurants, massive parking structures & frequent bus shuttles in which attacks, explosives or agents could be dispersed or VIPs vehicles could be targeted.

There is more than enough material to work with if modeling after the real operations that occur in a casino's everyday routine.

There are already casinos in both of the districts.  Not enough that are in actual casino towns such as Blackhawk or Cripple Creek, Colorado for example, but they are in the game.

Obviously they're not accessible in any form currently, however you can see & hear them.

There still should be a separate district for this, casino as social district extension would probably make most sense, there's a social aspect when it comes to gambling. 😄

Oh I'm totally down brother.  Invest in game cash on slot machines with a small chance for hitting the big progressive = big jack pot = joker boxes.
