Really.. why is it there?

You don't know what im talking about?

Well..

Behind Hea Choi you can clearly see a closed place right?

Strange thing is that the place was clearly there for a reason and not to be closed.. its a Social District style building with full loaded interiors, there are too many small black billboards and a trash bin.

Sadly the entire spot haven't collisions and if you reach it you will end up in "Died/Teleported back to HQ because of Forbidden Area".

In anyway i find always my ways to get in all those closed places or out of bounds so, isn't really a problem if it haven't collisions or OOB system active.

I've visited it, starting from the back of Hea Choi where doors are located, arriving at the end where you see it turns, its very cool and chill place.

You could think: "Right, but it works like all other details in San Paro, they let you see only what you can see in-game, like buildings out of map haven't back walls and floors+interiors and roofs, just the front of them is visible, in some others you can see the entire model but no interiors or interiors but with poor quality.

In that case i've tried and this is a perfect modeled 3D complete interior with even shadows on it, very strange.

I got a nice screenshot there i will share under here.

yjW9sOc.jpg

Reminder: The place isn't exploitable and you can't shoot in/out, in case someone know alredy or will find the way to get there.

I've got 3 questions and if you guys wanna post a comment i will appreciate.

1. This building on financial was done especially for something that later got cut from the game? If yes, why don't open up it and make a spot for new contacts with more details?

2. Why is Hea Choi in the middle of nowhere? I mean.. she don't even have a warehouse, a place, a spot, like Aletta and few others..

I know i know.. always been the same back in the past, right, but i was just wondering these questions, because makes no sense.

3. What about those 3 contacts close to Tip Toe? They are WAY old, im impressed they haven't got any beard yet 😆

P.S. #1 There are TONS of other closed places but i really can't mention every single one, would end up im 50 pages of a single topic, which i don't prefer.

P.S. #2 I've done some research and found out every district have 500meters/1km of empty ground, in some situations there are too fully loaded buildings, objects and much more, everything with collisions.. so this is just my thoughts but i think for sure, what we see since years isn't exactly what they had in their plans.

P.S. #3 Last one, i promise. This is the end of this topic but i wanted to let you know (if not alredy knew) that on Financial, straight up, out of map, where Justing Teng is located, there is a bridge, and if you exit from the actual district playable area you can find other roads, bridges and all stuff liek that so yeah.. for sure Financial but not only was planned to be even bigger than what it is now, or maybe they left that stuff there because the main concept/model was MidTown and after we all know what they have taken out some parts and made the actual district we playing in our days.

Leftovers from RTW.

Keep in mind that this game was very unfinished when RTW went bankrupt and G1 treated it as an almost finished game, never picking up RTWs plans.

I figured it was there as set dressing just like the Intel Room behind Teng, the lockup over by Grissom, the interrogation room over by Ty, the storage space behind Danko, the office/apartment entrance by Arlon, and the SPPD Locker Room by Mirri.

They all seem to have no actual collision besides sometimes floor collision, some outside wall collision, and of course prop collisions. Each has their own lighting/shadows as well.

In the case of that hallway in particular, there's nothing else past the end of that hallway. Almost all the parts you can't see have their faces removed from the model itself.

Backside of the hallway. Can't get a proper in-game screenshot of what it looks like since the OOB changes were introduced, but it looks a bit like:

Secondly, the entrance to the Metropolitan Performing Arts Center seems like a pretty reasonable place for the highly respected/feared businesswoman that is Hea Choi. Big names likely visit the center for all kinds of charity and non-charity events that she likely takes part in. The areas that we, the players, get to run around in is pretty much just the food court.

Thirdly, Bowse, Whut, and Gruff are all just Tiptoe's brood. Basically they're just her criminal entourage. Doesn't seem like there'd be much to do with them as they're all just tied into Tiptoe's lore.

#1 There are certainly a lot. Most seem like nice set dressing, but there are some areas that look like they just weren't quite finished or perhaps just didn't fit into the "playzone" properly.

#2 Most of that empty ground space seems to be there so you don't see the endless void beneath you when trying to get a look outside the map space. Most of those areas don't actually have full building collisions though, mostly just ground collision, and a lot of the buildings are just decorative fronts.

#3 There's two bridges over near Teng. The big rusty one nearer to Club Gaijin, and the neater looking one over by the Progress National Bank. Honestly both just look like they were hastily placed as background objects as the rusty one just runs into the back of the buildings, and the neater one clips through the walls of the waterway.

That said, I've no clue if there were bigger plans for any of those spaces, or if there were bigger plans for Financial/Waterfront in general.

There are even Wf's casino props in the assets. I guess RTW had some plans for big interiors like heists and such. We could only die and find out in another universe.

For Lockup and Interrogator room i don't think are actual interiors but i don't really know exactly, i was able to get into justing teng spot too, not sure why they didn't put him into that but out.

I would love to see big changes too for actual districts, included FC and Social.

Yes, i do agree with you, thanks for your comment!
