Does Reflex Sight affect shotguns?

Does Reflex Sight affect shotguns? Does it make the spread tighter?

I couldn't see any difference to be honest..

no sight mods affect shotguns sprint/run/walk modifiers iirc

It does kinda works, it does makes Marksman mode less zoomed out and your crosshair does get smaller when you hipfire but you don't actually gain any accuracy boost, it doesn't change the spread either.

Okay so I was right... Don't get why so many are using Reflex Sight in it than.

Some shotguns have it premodded, the TAS for example and Country Gent

sights used to work on shtoguns just like they work on every other gun (besides explosives), it was changed in the last big balance update that g1 did iirc

Since G1s last big "balance" patch, sight mods do absolutely nothing on shotguns.

I think the only one that's actually affected by them is the Shredder.

The presets like the Knock Knock or the rocker pack TAS20 are leftovers from when they were ideal mod choices.

No mods can change the spread of shotguns , however RS / HS DOES affect shotguns , just not in the way you think it does .

Basically when your crosshair opens with shotgun , it just means that the whole pellet cone will be offset to where you actually aim : here's an exemple :

On the left that's how your gun wil shoot when the crosshair is closed , and on the right that's how it will show when the crosshair is open .

So yeah , having sight mods on shotguns will be usefull only on guns like shredder , or if you want to jumpshot your shotties , and have less RNG involved .

I've found lately that red mods sorta work but not like before, an if you go with a RF 2, or 3 its too much zoom. And the thing to remember is, its just a shotgun, you dont need a site.

I have a few shotguns, n the best in game is still the JG 1 or two slot

slightly of topic, but I had shotgun rng explained like this:

Each pellet is assigned on a grid (this example having 9 pellets).

All RNG does is decide where withing its assigned square on the grid the pellet hits.

... maybe I should just ask Beastie.

Let's just go back to the days of CSG hard damage and constant pellet spread.

This is correct, though I learned it with only 4 squares. Could be more though.

The only thing inaccurate here is the spread being in the circle, while it appears anywhere in the square around your crosshair.
