So you've proven you care about the game... when are you going to start caring about the players?

You have all these rules and codes of conduct, yet you prove on a daily basis that you have absolutely no intention of actually enforcing any of it. Reporting stuff to support is useless, as report tickets are universally ignored. There's horrifically rampant verbal abuse of others, explicit sexual/pornographic messages in public chat, blatant dethreating, outright griefing of both missions and players, etc etc etc.

The people doing this crap even taunt about it in public chat channels, because they know they won't suffer any repercussions for their actions. We have no GMs (wearing the tag doesn't make you a GM, sorry not sorry), support ignores tickets, and threads on the forum are unceremoniously censored and locked.

This touted "district phasing and matchmaking overhaul" isn't going to do a damn thing, and anyone capable of free thought knows this. It doesn't matter how good your matchmaking is, as all forms of automated systems can (and will) be exploited for player gain. The only solution to this behaviour is to mete out punishment to those who engage in it, period.

So, @MattScott. When are you going to start caring about your players? When will you hire a round-the-clock ingame moderation team, that can at a moment's notice respond to cries of distress from victims of toxic behaviour? When will you fast lane terms of service violation report tickets (with an accompanying punishment for those who abuse it, of course)?

If you choose to ignore these problems as you have consistently been showing you intend to, the game will die just like before... and it's already started as can be seen by checking readily available public data.

Incoming censure and account action for daring to speak up on this issue.

They're not ignoring tickets though, it's people like you who send in tickets about every little thing that pretty much congest the whole system. Seriously how many tickets have you sent in now...? Because as I recall the last time I called you out on it I remember seeing a little over a dozen tickets you've filed. I've filed 1 ticket in the entire time I've been apart of this community and I've probably gone through just as much harrassment, vulgar language as someone like you but I don't really seem to have as many issues with the support as you do.

Maybe you need to stop being so hyper-sensitive and just play the damn game like everyone else at this point. What you'd define by "care" is completely subjective. I don't really care if there are GM's in-game I never wanted their presence before and It's not something highly desirable now, I just want them to plan more events ones that preferably give us rare items for completing them, have more sales etc. Asking that a small studio like LO is going to hire a full-time moderation team is just expecting and demanding too much. There are other things on the itinerary which are more pressing right now, like making sure that the engine update goes through successful and integration with the console platforms also happens.

I feel like they care a lot about the players.

However, since they do not have unlimited funds (that's an assumption from me, yes), they have limited resources in all functions, including employed GMs, coding/development, and Support. They're moving in the right direction, and I get that a lot of people feel like it isn't happening fast enough. But swamping Support with tickets isn't going to help Support getting through the tickets any faster - they have enough on their plate as it is.

In my case, the years of neglect under G1 has more of a family feel to it...

I've sent exactly one ticket 3 months ago.
I got a reply a month ago.

I didn't like the answer, probably I won't send another one regarding the code of conduct, but it was answered and that's the important part.

...which is why Matt Scott regularly posts updates on the status of customer support and how many tickets they've resolved or received or picked up etc...

You're creating a catch-22 situation here.

You're not reporting issues because supposedly the support team isn't doing anything about it.
The support team isn't doing anything because supposedly they're not looking into the issues.
They're not looking into these issues because you're not reporting them.

Do you see the flawed logic here?

1) Good job on trying to imply that the man himself is personally responsible for things you don't like.
2) You do realize that the average APB player is accusatory and confrontational, and the vast majority of complaints concerning other players boil down to "i don't like this guy" or "i think hes cheating", right?

Another defeatist and accusatory thread that ultimately does nothing but inconvenience LO by stirring up player dissatisfaction through pushing empty lines of hatred.
You could be doing something useful with your time. You could be helping new players find their way in the game. You could be understanding towards LO and think for a minute about how much work they're swamped with right now. But I suppose creating this thread took precedence over that.

A certain amount of toxicity is just part of online games. Some are more sensitive than others, which is fine. It's really hard to set a straight up threshold after you ban the obvious racism and hate speech. I would however prefer if they started enforcing the anti-dethreat rule, because I feel that is objectively bad for the game.

either u focus on the player or focus on the game(that will also satisfy some players)
I bought $20 of g1c and got 1600 instead of 2000 so i got a ticket waiting too. Idk if i gotta wait 2months to get the remaining 400g1c without compensation but i can wait. I'm kinda more interested in the UE3.5 than my remaining g1c atm 😢

I think with the limited support resources they have, there is no choice but to handle tickets by a priority system.
What would you like an alleged ToS violation handled in place of? Especially if its something that could just be handled by you know, /ignore.

if you're getting offended by people in the chat, you know you can like, not respond or look at the chat, right or ignore whoever the person is?
from reading your post, you sound like the kind of player that joins districts just for chatting, then just gets into arguments in the chat. 
i've read a lot of district chat and yeah, there's a lot of banter that goes on about, but it's nothing to get suspended over. a punishment like that should only be reserved for actual threats, not demeaning remarks.
i talk in chat a fair bit and have never had "verbal abuse" or "sexual messages" slung my way. perhaps you should take a look at the way you conduct yourself in chat or how you treat the people you talk to? anger doesn't come out of nowhere in most people.

I think you have no idea what is the maintenance of an online video game.

That Matt has risked buying this game and putting all his effort to keep our servers active, is already a pretty big fact, that they care about this video game.

If any player bothers you, there is always the / ignore command ...
Or change district.
So many options ...

 And you come here to cry.

You should be more grateful with what you have and be more respectful.
