Oh man I hate correcting stupid people, it's like I'm kicking puppies. The E.U. is not a country as much as it wishes to be, most of the laws are not universal and countries can opt out of laws.

I really hate to quote pleasant fellows that barely read but here you go https://forums.gamersfirst.com/topic/208-transcript-for-the-apb-qa-session-one/

You are right, using their words brings us down to their level.

Stop trying to act so high and mighty, you should have expected this sort of thing on a public forum. Puff was also aiming it at all three of the people that used it, that includes you.

If you care so much, then bid the displays screens and show your art. What? That you dont care? Why caring about what is shown then?

Okay so, if we take the logic of "if you haven't done something, you don't care about it and your opinion on it is valueless" that you're expressing here, then we all better stop talking about APB completely, because I'm fairly sure none of us have been involved in the production of an online TPS lately.

Only think relevent is legendaries.

"I'll buy you porn, you dont need porn in the game".  What a way to shaming persons who want a feature that we originally had!!!

At least i know you are trolling and your comments are not serious... like if this turns all around porn.

Read again the q&a and this is the last time i quote you.

When there were homoerotic symbols hanging in social everyone was reporting like a medieval virgin and many of those hypocrites had hentai feminine features swinging on the wind.

I'm glad things will get even at last.

Making joker box guns not tradeable is literally turning the game into a p2w, I don't understand how could they even consider such option.

You either leave stuff like it is now or scrap entirely the loot boxes system and add another in-game mechanism to buy said weapons.

That is a good point

Honestly I think people who obsess about genitals need to be ridiculed, no matter their preference. Oh shit I just remembered I'm getting drunk and yelling at silvers again. Time to stop.

While I do agree that the JMB changes are not exactly the most ideal, we did gloss over quickly the idea of having the legendary weapons accessible to free players in-game somehow (for a lease time) MAYBE. That'll be up to LO on how they want to handle that stuff.

I know that there's a big market for legendary weapon sales on the MP and losing that's going to suck, but they could counter this by making any legendary you get account wide instead.

Also, I like how people cherry picked what he said in regards to what content he'd like added. If you read the open letter and some of his other posts, he does mention he wants to add new maps, modes, CARS, and weapons. Just because he didn't say it in the Q&A doesn't mean he's forgotten about it. Weapons were just an example during that stage.

But, aside from the JMB issue and the whole moderation of nudity (which was a rule during G1's era, they just didn't have GMs actively monitoring it), I'd say everything else was pretty neat. They have a 3 step plan to get the game back on track and kicking, we're getting some stuff the community has asked about for a long time and we've finally gotten more active GMs in-game (which a lot of players asked for, for years).

The problem with JMB is that players want to control the market and be able buy/trade these guns. If they remove jmb or make Legendaries untradeable than they have to offer something in exchange because it's the only actual trading. Cars/clothes are not that valuable because most of players buy this stuff in Armas and can't trade it, only theme market is as actual as legendaries

I agree. It would be nice to see a more expansive in-game economy.

Oh yeah, would be nice if they could allow players to sell ARMAS' customized items on market place.

It's easy to do such a thing anyhow because the item can't be edited once its sold to another person.

I think they should allow to sell customized armas clothes only to ppl who have it bought in armas but they don't have enough experience in customizing.

I kind of agree, but I would've been way more tactful about it.

G1's stance on nudity seemed pretty reasonable to me. The line "This is a game. Nudity doesn't have a place here, and it's not allowed." really irks me because the two aren't mutually exclusive. APBR never had a "nudity problem" and is still a far cry from stuff like Second Life, Saints Row or even the emblems that people make in CoD and Battlefield. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It may have differed between servers, but people cared far, far less about seeing some 2D nipples, vulvas or dicks on outfit designs and symbols than the frequent Nazi cosplayers and shittily designed customisations in general. It was a refreshing change to have a dev's attitude about adult themes more relaxed than most.

I'm also not content with the "use common sense" line. For something that can apparently easily get you banned now, that is faaar too vague for comfort. I'm someone who enjoys putting borderline-to-blatant nsfw stickers on my car IRL, I have Bad Dragon miniatures on my keyring and I'm in Europe, so my idea of "common sense" in regard to bodily exhibition is obviously different to someone else's. Now I'm going to be worried about how far I can go with my designs without risking a ban - something that stifles creativity - hypocritically in opposition to the sentence immediately before it.

Ultimately, I just don't see the reason for this change. It harms no-one and has never been an issue in the game's long lifespan. I guess it's about appealing to a wider audience, but the stifling of creativity on any level that doesn't hurt anyone is disappointing. Some of the best emblem customisations I've seen were "18+" works and did have a level of quality to them that put them far above most in the game.

That said, I'd rather have a better APB with stricter policies on adult themes than lax policies and a dead game.

Well... Let's see if I make a 2nd Amendment Support Symbol will be considered Hate Speech. Because, ya know, how everything is turning nowadays. People in some areas goes berserk if you show support to the right of bear firearms.

This will probably be an unpopular thing to say but im against GMs in the game, that just sounds like police. More often doing more harm to good people (lets say someone with anime tiddy picture) than doing anything against actual criminals (cheaters) How will GMs know who is cheating? if the system didnt detect it, they sure as hell wont either. At least thats how police is in my country, they are here to pester you and fine you for things like crossing the street in the wrong place or crossing an empty road with your dirt bike from one side of the forest to another without having the necessary paper work to drive on the street, even though you were not driving on it and just crossed it, making sure theres no cars coming. I dont want that in my game too :C

This is all sorts of messed up, first of all, if you go by the netherland's law alone, you will still be violating belgium's law by keeping the joker boxes in the game, so if you can afford to just pick and choose which countries laws to follow, why follow them at all? or why not just make joker boxes inaccessible to people from belgium and netherlands? Also does the netherland law even apply to joker boxes? since the things you win can only be sold for ingame space bucks and not actual real world money like CSgo.

Excluding a country from purchasing a loot box shouldn't be a big problem, just add a filter to Armas to exclude some IP ranges that they use. The Netherlands is a bit more relaxed on loot box gambling. They still allow it as long as it can't be traded. But since Joker Box rewards can be traded, even when it's limited to Marketplace, it's violating the Dutch law. There are websites where the rewards can advertised and sold for real money.

In my opinion, all Joker Box rewards should be locked and account wide. It could have a positive or negative effect. I would be more likely to buy Joker Boxes because I have a lot of characters and like exclusive stuff. At this point, everyone is at risk of getting their accounts compromised because of the trading. They're even selling ingame "space bucks" for a good amount.

Second, NOOOOO you back of mister, do you realize that buying legendary weapons off the user marketplace is the only way for some people to ever get their hands on them? not everyone has access to their mom's credit cards, i have been grinding my patootie of for months to get that FFA RND, and now thanks to you i will never get to experience it, and i sure as hell aint going to shovel my hard earned money for your scummy gambleboxes for a 0.1% chance of winning it, either get rid of the joker boxes entirely and find another way to randomly earn them or just allow people to buy legenderies off armas (although that would ruin the whole point of them being legendary. or leave weapon trading alone. Not to mention, you are going to kill the weapon market and destabilize the game economy by removing one of the game's biggest money sinks. Do you understand what you are doing?

I am not completely against trading legendary weapons. But when someone is stealing all your stuff, it has to go through marketplace. They can set any price they want and complete the deal. However, if they set it at 1 "space buck" someone else is going to find it and buy it instantly without thinking and are likely to get their account banned. They need to be fast, either have 2 computers (or VM) or 2 persons. If they look at the market price, i would say set a minimum price for each legendary weapon that it can be sold for. I guess it would eliminate the scamming somewhat, but would still violate the Dutch law.

It is entirely up to you whether you want to spend money or not on this game, but you're not willing to spend from your own hard earned cash, but you're fine with spending someone else hard earned cash?

If You love the freedom of expression so much, why you want to restrict it and tell people what they can and cant do? why do you have to bring your prudish, regulative, normie baggage into this game with you?

dont get me wrong, i do think coloring your bikini in same color as your skin and drawing crude nipples on it is just in bad taste, but its the freedom to do so is what makes this game so great and I will defend peoples right to do so even if i dont agree with it myself. While you want to take that freedom away and to get people up on their "common sense" toes about how they dress or what symbols they make.

And what do you even define as nudity? is running around in nothing but a thong and a bikini top constitutes nudity? if not than drawing some MSpaint style nipples on that bikini top is not really nudity either and everyone can see that shes still wearing a bikini.
And what about all the anime tiddy symbols on people's profiles? or the ahegao faces, will those be gone too? This is an 18+ game about drugs, gun violence, bad language and stripper poles, you should add the option to get naked instead of playing fashion police!

but muh anIME TIDDIES
