Love how the f2p version of the Case "bolo" was locked at rank 195 when it was an event reward and Actively Had the worst mods possible for ALIG. Meanwhile the armas version was open 3 slot.

 

 

All this talk about armas hope it leads to giving to the people that can't (or prefer not too) afford 5000g1c for a hat.

I am not sure what the category "unpopular" will mean in objects.

 

Stuff like ACT 44 GM?

Stuff like A gun you can get for free, but gets awkward non fitting presets? (because we have those).

Also, why are they unpopular? maybe because of broken balance? if so,  maybe rebalance them first.

 

Would be interetsing if LO first posts us those unpopular armas items and then asks us why we don't buy them.

 

Some guns and cars are just unnneded/wanted due to bad balance.

I reckon it would be the most fair to those who spent their money on said ARMAS items, and helpfull to the F2P dedicated players, if said items would actually become Joker store items in the usual or preferably rebalanced state of modifications and only through ARMAS available with open mod slots in some cases. With the exception of exceptional weaponry which overhaul gameplay which I will explain further below.

 

 

If all the ARMAS weaponry would be simple reskins of the standard weapons, I wouldn't even think about it, since they would be simply cosmetics. However this is not the case at all, with some weapons it is the case of course, but for an instance, the ATAC is simply uncomparable to all the standard weapons to according to my experience.

 

That itself is an issue which LO should try to improve on in my opinion, G1st has created a fairly big inbalance in terms of weaponry over the years.

 

Though we can't really call it P2W because the weapons are ever so situational and with most weapons being specialistic and coming down to the enviroment its used in whether or not they outperform other weapons. We can however state that the current weaponry gives paying players an overall advantage in terms of adaptability to situations which, if used well, adds to their advantage.

 

 

I personally find the ATAC a perfect example of this inbalance, though I love playing with it and the way it looks. It really is the lazymans assault rifle seen as it is one of the few assault rifles with the ability to perform walking close-to-mid range combat, and even excell at close range combat, most importantly, without modifiers. Naturally it doesn't hold a candle to an NTEC if used incredibly well, NTEC manages to outperform nearly every weapon at any but long range when facing snipers, which in my opinion is fine, because it is indeed incredibly hard to perform that well with it in all situations. With the ATAC however this is not the case, it is just as easy to perform well in CQC with this gun as it is to perform moderately at mid to long (Though said range clearly not bringing out the best of it). If anything I would like to compare this gun to the STAR which also offers more mobility whilst firing than the NTEC counterpart which is harder to controll. But the ATAC feels like a star with Reflex Sight 3, Cooling Jacket 3 and Improved rifling 3, and that's without modifications.

 

I myself permanently own the ATAC Patroller (Which I have received a lot of negativity about) the Joker CR5 PR-2 and the Obeya SBW-SD PR-2. Out of these, I only find the ATAC to be uncomparable to standard weaponry, but I do have some suspicions about the N-SSW also being nearly uncomparable to standard guns.

In conclussion: It's not that I would dare say the ATAC is OP or anything alike, but simply offers a type of gameplay and adaptability which the standard weaponry doesnt.

 

 

In my honest opinion, that is fine, if F2P players had weapons to choose from and modifications to allow them to do the same. This is not the case though. Yes the weapon is available in the Joker store for lease, which gives F2P players plenty of choice in terms of some specialized weapons, but that doesnt go for all weapons, at all. Im fine with ARMAS weapons becoming more likely to be bought by making them more restricted in terms of usage by F2P players through the joker tickets system, but not with only making it so with all the popular specialized guns rather than all.

 

Which is why I strongly believe some of these unpopular ARMAS items, which I actually have seen in the game, though rarely and except for a few, being used incredibly well but with no counterparts to pick from. Situational combat is everything in APB, and adapability in my opinion, should not be limited to paid items and the most popular ones. Which is why I voted to add those unpopular items to the Joker store, though I'd suggest having a good look at the weapons first and indeed, removing or changing controversial mod presets.

for instance, reaching rifleman 5 would unlock 0slot versions of all assault rifles, role 10 would unlock 1slots, and role 15 would unlock 2slots - all available to be leased for 10 days
