What's better for you guys; One dude spending 10 dollars on Armas to trial a gun or three people spending 5 dollars to trial a gun???

ok speaking of math in itself if one person spends 10 then 3 would spend 30.

for what I want , I want more guns in itself since most of us are here long enough to try them all already , which is why I am not sure what to think about trials in itself anymore because of it.

the argument is; the cheaper it is, the more people would pay for it and the more overall money you make from it.

I don't appreciate the 1-day trial option not being available anymore.

I thought that was a really nice feature that really let you know what you're spending your money on. It's not a skin in League where you can kinda see what it looks like without even buying it (skin showcase takes care of that too though), it's a gun in a competitive shooter that you don't really know how it feels until you use it for a few hours.

The guns aren't cheap, so making a blind purchase is risky and unsatisfying when you grow to hate your investment.

You want some beginners guide on how to get more discounts and avoid to pay 5 dollars to try out weapons?

Alright.

1. Visit any gun page

2. Click on TRY NOW FREE for Try the gun for Free (3 hours for premium players and 30 minutes for non-premium ones)

3. Try the gun in-game

4. When the time end or when you feel ready to buy it visit again the Armas page of that specific gun

5. 35% OFF discount will be avaiable for all the 3 options, 30 days, Character Lifetime and Account Lifetime

6. Be fast, because the 35% discount will last only for some hours

Proof:

                                       1                                                                                               2                                                                                                3

i’d prefer they just re-add the 7 day leases to the joker store tbh, that way “trials” are open whether a player can spend money or not

Prices have been too high for a long time. Guessing it was from trying to milk what they could out of what they had at the time.

Problem is this argument flats fall if your consumer base is niche. Then milking money out of your "loyal" consumer base is only option to survive as lowering price won't attract enough consumers to pay off price lowering. That's how all luxury and specialist markets work... or in that case games with very low population like APB.

And sure, not all definition of niche market apply to APB since market is digital. So there is no cost of "creation" of new item (not counting the fact that you need to employ someone who would create and apply that weapon in-game. I assume they already counted in variable costs anyway) but stays the fact that nobody will buy that much weapons to make up cost of price lowering.

Document on niches markets if anyone interested. A lot don't apply to APB but economy is after all not science but humanities so terms are pretty flexible and whole economy is after all more based on "guessing" using that knowledge: http://www.valueaddedag.org/nichemarkets/4_SupplyDemandAndElasticities.pdf

Yes. I studied basic economy in college.

Nope.. at least from my last purchases I dont receive any discount after trial time.

Then sincerly, I have difficult to understand on which standard or conjecture others find the armas' price so high

You get 35% off only if you try the gun for free, not if you buy it for 30 days.

Armas prices have been adjusted alredy few times by LO during their take on APB, so i am with you on that part.

Few more tweaks are needed but not much.

I am pretty sure I didnt receive any discount with my last purchase, I bought a account lifetime not a "rent" for 30 days..

I wrote it also here somewhere some weeks ago cause one guy made the same question for purchasing tips and I give this feedback(link down).

Maybe LO at that righ moment disabled the discount I dont know, but sincerly I dont care, I appreciate the LO kindness to give free premium to everyone as LO set armas price are OK ( for precision, I dont need any free premium and nothing from anyone, but I appreciate despite behind a game  business sometimes you may arrive to remind there are people managing it and to see they try give humanity and kindness in what they can do it, it's a good and rare thing)

@MattScott

Just my only criticism... I would like it's LO spent less effort to adjust price and more effort to adjust the weapons... community may help a lot here, glad to see (seem for now) a change in this direction.

You can have discounts only if you try for free the gun, not in any other options, 30 days, acc or char lifetime, no one of them, just the free trial.

Discounts are not disabled, you can get 35% off if you follow what i said. yes, is still a thing in our days, which is better than nothing i would say.

I have many years of premium so i don't care about free, but LO is making some beautiful choices and moves.

G1 would never give out that much time of free premium, at least as i know.

Is a small move and choice, but is much more important than how everyoen think.

Well, i need to say LO should put more effort in more things, being able to multitaskign through the issues and adjust them all with the right time.
