Battle Eye Always out of date

Recommended Posts

I couldn't start the gawme for a while.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and then am able to start the game (with a long list of blocked notices) .  And it logs in

but when I connect to a district it says my battle eye is out of date; and to restart to update;  I have, several times and it's still broken.

I wondered if maybe I got rid of beclient.dll it would figure it out and force a new download; didn't help (well, it did, I managed to join a district for a few seconds before getting kicked for no response).  So I put that back, and restarted, and nothing changed.

I might add that stream is in a parition on a very large disk that is mounted on the folder c:/games  c:/games/steam

I have run into games that have had issues because c:\ is not the same device ad c:\games

Uninstalled, picked a folder that's just on a physical device; and now APB starts and just exits.

I don't know; steam keeps thinking it's running even though it's stopped... so maybe a reboot too.

Hey, looks like it's because of alienFX.

If you've noticed, the kick happens just when your device lighting wants to change (to red for crim or blue for enf).

Try uninstalling alienware command center.

It helped me with the message and kick.

Delting DLLs was not required previously.

if I reinstall back into the other location I'm sure it will get back to running, with an even longer list of blocked reports.

Those are harmless themselves and do not cause it to fail.

And with all of those, the game was running, was still failing to update to a new client version; but ran enough to let me select an instance.

---

Edit: Reinstaled back under normal steam, and the game runs again, still out of date on battle eye though.

I guess battle eye is in c:\program fiels and not c:\games though?
