New contacts on waterfront?

Recommended Posts

So from what I have heard from a few people is that the new contacts are both being put on waterfront. which I do not believe is the correct way to go about making the game better. Noone wants to play waterfront as the map already struggles to hold player. Down below will be a strawpoll for the community to vote on what map should be the new contact map unless we can even it out with a contact on both maps that are new.

Waterfront isn't the best map ever but i like it.

They're putting both contacts there also for that reason, because the district in general feels dead now, noone want to play there, and is sad.

Hi there,

Waterfront has always been short two contacts. So while it is not ideal, this is where these contacts were designed to go long before we took over.

Thanks,

Matt

fair enough but wouldn't putting just 2 contacts into waterfront kill fin? People that are needing contacts done in Fin won't be able to get them for a while because everyone is farming Waterfront.

I also didn't know that there was 2 short on waterfront cause I never play the map I either fight club or social district if silver/gold server with most pop isn't in Financial.

Can't wait to get bare minimum contribution for mission credit then ignore the mission, for every mission, while maxing these contacts.

Fuck Waterfront.

Incoming downvotes.

Maybe because it's full of Russians?

Why is this not ideal? Waterfront may be the less popular action district, but there's no reason for the development team to start treating it like the red-headed step child.

They were also designed to be top tier specialist contacts but that doesn't seem to matter.

Matt was just mirroring player dislike with "Not ideal."  Them not being Specialists is weird but Matt wanted to push lower tier contacts so they could introduce new content.  Unfortunate that we wont see more 4 slot vehicles with this change but oh well.

Map prop edits are the easiest to do without breaking the map.  I don't remember who said it but Reloaded wasn't joking about how editing the map is a literal pain in the patootie.  You have trash tools plus moving a single wall requires the entire map to be redone.  Not worth it.

Matt also said "waterfront will be getting some changes in the future to make it more appealing" something along those lines.

Here's what the spots should look like (for the few that don't know)
