Gameplay: jumping off the walls

Translation: "Does APB need this gameplay?"

 

(2013) There was a Kickstarter for a wall running spin off game "APB:Vendetta" however the kickstarted proposal was taken very badly by the community as APB:Reloaded was starting to feel outdated and bugs were still popping up after every weekly patch due to old Real Time Worlds coding needing to be updated and replaced.

 

So should APB have wall running in the main game?

The short answer is no.

 

The long answer is no because APB:Reloaded is not designed to accommodate wall running mechanics. Bare in mind that APB:Reloaded will kick players for going out of bounds. moving vehicles and map designs would need to be updated or changed. There would just be too much work to do in making APB:Reloaded suitable for wall running and even then some objects and codes will just outright not be compatible.

 

Personally Adding wall running would make APB feel like Call of Duty to me and changing the feel of what the game is about.

 

In the end it would be easier to make a completely new spin of game "APB:Vendetta", but it was clear at the time that it was not what people wanted.
