  1. Ever since the introduction of EasyAntiCheats, I have been wondering about why it's disabled to change the affinity and priority now. But I would assume this is a security measure of some kind (since you can allow EAC to run on just 1 core, which seems odd but doesn't affect the game process I guess). However I found a way to still allow High priority to the APB Process (for affinity I use Process Lasso). I first contacted Matt asking if it was allowed to post or not and he gave me the permission to post it after some testing. Basically what we gonna do is add a registry key to the registry of Windows to tell Windows we always want this application High priority from the get-go. My first impressions felt like the mouse input latency (mouse to screen reaction) felt a bit smoother compared to before. But that could been placebo effect, most of my testers also claimed the same thing. Disclaimer: Now I am not gonna say it's gonna give you +30000% boost in FPS or frame time consistency because it's not going to. But it might help with several systems running a lot of processes or just tell the OS to give resources to this application first. I made this into a simple reg file to add it to your registry. (remove the keys to revert the changes) VirusTotal.com: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/841ae6c2fef5fd40a32ebca3d472558f9d3f90ad43ee54788ff257087e897527/detection Download reg file: https://mega.nz/#!c5ARTYQZ!KEek0mbEkahcFR29zgHy_z7-IE0mz1kfY-VY3Zlu3ws The source code in case you want to do this manually: (keep in mind the forums make . e x e "program", so it should be \APB . e x e) Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\APBprogram\PerfOptions] "CpuPriorityClass"=dword:00000003 Let me know how it works out!
  2. Hello, as many people are experiencing an APB.exe - System Error and don't know how to proceed, I am here to provide some help! It's actually quite simple - often, the issue is that the following files are missing: msvcp140.dll, concrt140.dll, and vcruntime140.dll. This can easily be fixed by installing the 'Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio'. It is available in both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) versions. I hope this information is helpful to you
  3. Hello. I'm having problem, that my Windows Defender detects APB.exe as an virus. I had APB installed on my laptop and playing it for a very long time and everything was ok. I have to change my SSD in laptop, so i have to download it again and i done it a week ago. The game was working since today. I launched the event district, and game crashed after ~5 minutes of low fps gameplay. In same moment Defender said that he detected something. I scanned my laptop and deleted this file and scanned it and there wasn't any warning. I launched APB Launcher, he downloaded some files and when i launched the game Defender warned me about danger again. I uninstalled whole APB, scanned Windows few time (even Offline Scan) and made a recovery point because there wasn't any signs of virus presence. Then i downloaded a new client from official website like always when i have to download APB, and after installation Defender was quiet, but when i launched game, he warned me and i have to struggle with the same situation. I will add that event with this 'virus' my laptop doesn't seemed corrupted ; usage of disc, GPU, processor etc. was stable, and did not differ from the normal usage. (CPU ~3% [with game off ofc], disck ~1%, memory ~35%). I'm using ASUS Vivobook S15 16GB i5 NVIDIA GFORCE mx 250 with custom SSD (Samsung 970 EVO Plus). If anyone had same problem or know what can i do to safely play APB please answer me. Thank you in advance. (the potentially unwanted application has been removed or restored, priority low)
