There are only 3 people online right now! Feels like a private server already =P

true, but its low pop because the game its current state isn't playable sustainably for new players and not being fun for old players (ontop of the billion other reasons). this in part due to icarus and G1 implementing things that wern't needed, and changed others that were. If they open source, we could fix that.

  2. Heya, buggies are filling my vaults and it's due for another, welcome to the July Crafter's Market and Destruction Derby!

For those of you new to market, it was established in beta before auction was created (nearing 10+ years now!). Almost always on the
first Saturday of the month, it was the main way crafters sold their wares. Now, it's a way for the community to
get together and have a little fun! I do welcome crafters to come set up a tent and sell your wares, we usually get at least a raid full of people.

You can find more info in the history thread here, note the old forums are down now so the links won't work

This month the market will be located in Rest Stop S1, (north of the town, south of the pvp zone) to accommodate our event

Starting at 1PM CST (GMT-6) on July 13th

    Market Site: /waypoint 4119533 3736891

Countdown Timer here (DM me if I messed it up, wouldn't be the first time 😛)

All level players, and GMs are welcome to attend!

For events, I'll be hosting a combat buggy demolition derby, trivia, and plenty of Instacrafts. The tournament will be hosted inside the pvp zone to the north. Players over level 15 will receive a de-buff, but that shouldn't be a problem for participants and spectators. I'll have tents setup for ramps, and campfires to mark the bounds.  Do be careful heading around the left side of the zone, Project 432 and his handlers aren't too friendly. I won't be handing these out the vehicles advance, but will have many ready for the event. if you're curious about seeing the derby in action, video/pics can be found here (thanks vit!)

Combat Buggies will be handed out to as many people who meet the requirements, and want to participate. It'll be first come first serve, but I will have enough for everyone.

    Requirements to participate in tournament:

    • Already have a combat buggy (I'll throw some ammo your way)
    • Must be lvl 25 with 55+ dex, you'll receive 3 dyes, a combat buggy, and ammo.

Rules for the derby are simple:

    • Be the last buggy standing to win a prize.
    • If your buggy is destroyed, head to the sidelines and wait for the next round.
    • **Don't go past the marked play area or you will be disqualified**
    • Spectators can watch from the opposite side of the fence, or on top of the satellite dish.

Trivia will be announced in region, first to answer correctly wins a prize. All my trivia is fallen earth related, some questions easier than others. I'll also be doing /roll for items in the main insta team. Contact me if you have any questions, or would like to donate towards the event. Hope to see ya there!
    -Op Hooligan

Edit: Thanks to all who came and our donors especially! I'll be taking a break for market in preparation for the 10 year anniversary event in Sept, but expect it to pick back up after then!

I like the events information board idea. I'm just curious if players would use the board to make profane statements when it's not being used for real events.

Could be something simple like a link button (like $ button on minimap) to take you to event subforum posts. Would mean that it's already moderated by LO, a text box of sorts ingame would have to be watched by GMs if implemented.

  5. Automatic chat notifications for world events (Similar to Globaltech Crate announcements, and GORE Crate in FH) would increase player retention IMO. Some of the holiday events in the past, the most active were when the events bugged and spawned a boss/reward every 30 mins or so. This allowed for us to form up raids, camp out, and kill bosses.

Events in FE give players an incentive to log in, whether they be dev made or player run.

  6. took a few notes while I did some stuff today, many thanks for the update LO! it was a pleasant suprise!

Creeper quests require you first collect 15 masses from enemies at the locations below, then turn in the quest for the 2nd part with broodmother. Note that the mission X may not be the closest spawn location for the broodmother/minions. "From Beneath You" is not repeatable but "Devoured!" however is.
Respawn times seem to aprox 2m for minions, 2-4hrs for broodmother. Treat bags contain a wide selection of halloween cosmetics

Seems also people who have completed the quest in 2009 are unable to recomplete. Seems the broodmothers all respawn at the same time too

11/9 Unsure if anyone has seen S2 broodmother spawn. S1, S3, Deadfall, and OP I have heard of others seeing spawn or seen myself

OP/Deadfall quest can only be completed in either OP/Deadfall, other quests correspond to the same sector you picked the quest up from

    Dr Medford Locations (quest giver):

Days of the dead requires you kill 100 zombies at specified locations for one of 3 untradable weapons. These quests are only in S1 (lvl 5 weap), S2 (lvl 20 weap), and S3 (lvl 35 weap) and cannot be completed more than once each. Do note that the zombies level counts towards quest progression, not the sector they're in.
(Ex: terance has been invaded with lvl 45 zombies, but they only count towards the S3 mission, not the S1) Only zombies specified by waypoints will count, preexisting zombies will not count

Tetrax Shards seem to apply the Brain Rot debuff, resulting in death in 6 hours. Be sure to have a snare dispel or Brain Rot Cure handy. These spawn locations also work towards the 100 kills

  7. Hello all, it's time again!

For those of you new to market, it was established in beta before auction was created. Always on the first Saturday of the month, it was the main way crafters sold their wares. Now, it's a way for the community to get together and have a little fun! (more info in the history thread here)

This month it will be hosted in the S1 Capital of Embry, at 1 PM CST (GMT-6) on Nov. 3rd
    Countdown Timer here

As for events, I'll be doing my usual trivia for prizes, and a vehicle show!
    The winners for the vehicle show will be selected by judges, in one of 4 catagories;

    • ATVs
    • Bikes/Choppers
    • Buggies
    • Cars

Lowbies are also eligible for a free cycle key and dyes (if you don't already have one)

In addition we will have nonstop instacrafts during the day, if you drop one down please let me know so I can replace it!
If you have some extra items laying around, donations can be sent to Op Hooligan, these donations will be used in trivia for prizes.

Thanks for the continued support, see ya' at the market!

  8. FE's 9 year anniversary is approaching at the end of the month, and a few of us wanted to have an event to celebrate the many years (and hopefully many more to come!). So come pvpers and pvers, lets gather to celebrate a game we all want to see thrive!

On Sept. 22, we will be having a gathering at Beau's Tavern in New Flagstaff, along with a few more events during the day. While at Beaus, we'll be placing instacrafts as they expire, and most likely at other points during the day. All players are welcomed regardless of level or faction!

    Beau's Tavern: /waypoint 4513480 5493226

    Events

    Convoy:
I will be hosting a convoy from Embry to Flagstaff prior to the gathering at Beau's. For any lowbies needing a vehicle upgrade, I have a bunch of spare motorcycle keys to hand out (requires 25 coord). I'll also be handing out a cosmetic fastback at some point during the convoy that has no level or stat requirement. We'll be departing from Embry at 12:45 PM EST. (5:45 PM BST)

    Timer

    TAO's Melee Fight Night:
This will be the 9th annual fight night hosted by The Awakened Order. Players will be bracketed based on level, and anything goes in terms of equipment, skills, etc. if you'd like to participate, inquire with Mutare Nebula via mail. It will be located in the motel pool across from Beau's, and will start at 2 PM EST (7 PM BST)

    Timer

    Trivia:
Trivia night was a series of events hosted by G1/Icarus GMs a few years back, and I feel like it's long overdue for another. I'll be asking questions related to in-game knowledge, first person to answer correctly wins a prize. Normally I do my raffles in region, but this will be in local chat only! Trivia will be throughout the day (especially at beaus!)

    Bosses:
Following the activities at Beau's, Luka and I will be hosting several boss fights (Most likely GORE/Scav bosses) throughout Deadfall/TW. For this event, its suggested level 40+. If it's your first time, instructions for each boss fight will be given at the event, you can also view them prior on the wiki. Many of the bosses have a decent chance for keys, general books, vol. chems, gore books, and gore parts. We will roll for anything dropped!

I do want to note that this is a community run event and all prizes, instas, tents, etc. are supplied by the hosts out of their own pockets. If you want to support the festivities, items can be sent to Lukasocz, Mutare Nebula, and Op Hooligan in-game. Thanks for the support!

It's a small piece of useful information, though we mustn't the take the NPCs for granted. There are specific NPCs and objects that can be interacted in the game that explain things in more detail. It would be more effective to direct players to them. The list I've found are:

    • Mechanic (1 at the Mumford garage and 1 at a garage between Murphy and Zanesville) - Explains the basics garages and towing etc.
    • LifeNet Fast Travel Terminal (In every LifeNet Fast Travel pod) - Explains how to Fast Travel and other requirements.
    • Town Crier (In every conflict/defense town) - Explains the basics of a Conflict/Defense Town, and their statuses/progress.
    • Blood Sports Converser (Mostly in major towns) - A short history and basic tutorial on Blood Sports.
    • Construction Trainers (In Capital Towns) - A basic tutorial on the Construction tradeskill.
To add onto this, there is also an NPC in Mumford that gives info for the ATV questline, might be more elsewhere in other old starter towns.
