If "Lawful Stupid" isn't a title, I will be disappointed.

And hopefully it will be hidden from the players. I think players being able to see their threat and the threat of others has only created problems. It should be a matchmaking tool, nothing more, we have no business seeing it... and if we can see it we can manipulate it.

Sheet mang, I am so bad at this game and I am 255. I regularly fluctuate between gold and silver (I do not dethreat, this is just how it goes), and I also go between the silver and bronze servers. Believe you me, there are certainly high rank dethreats in bronze who have no reason to be there, but I have also fought many max rank silvers (and even a couple bronzes) in the bronze district who are legitimately terrible at this game.. like so bad. Rank doesn't matter, it isn't a measure of skill, just persistence.

So what are the current codes we've uncovered? I haven't been here in a few days.

I thought crippling self doubt was a perma-mod on the HVR.. >.>

The contact here not only gives a less dangerous resupply spot, it also adds more cover to that roof.
Anyone smart will keep their deployable safely off to the side where it isn't a danger.

You've spent 142,983 G1C resulting in a total of US$1,787.29

We thought we were done with the anti-consumer decisions that were continuously made by Gamersfirst.
Apparently not.
Chill fam, Matt Scott already cut back in and said he would be delaying this while he tries to find a better solution:

im also used to die behind covers.
I have a ~16 ms ping (I live close to the servers) and I still die behind cover all the time.

We don't, not that many anyways. I have ran into only two people who I thought were cheating. They were together.. one prefired super ahead of time, another snapped back and forth like a helicopter in my deathcam. We won because they're actually awful. And they're silvers. And yet none of the golds who have kicked my butt have made me feel like it was anything but a legit fight.

I'm guessing they're bad guys.
Faceless unknown company spouting PR nonsense and promising a brighter future? Totally bad guys.

I completely agree.

Yeah Matt said recently that the 3.5 engine will be 64 bit.
-
The number of cheaters is at an all time low. I mean I have only fought two (they were together), and we won because they were terrible and we outsmarted them. I haven't ran into anything else suspicious since coming back recently. I mean, the skill ceiling has dropped noticeably.

I love the gunplay in this game, I think it's great, and it's my favorite of any game. I would be very put off if it was changed.

Just now, BXNNXD said:it’s a windup timer for each shot, that was a pretty brief issue
Oh, LOL
I am multitasking I guess I missed that
It's time for D&D!

but it was fixed shortly after
I don't know enough about the gun to know what I'm seeing.

the curse had a minor balance change from orbit iirc, still not that great
oblivion was pretty drastically changed by orbit (boot timer removed, accuracy improved, etc) still remains a less versatile issrb
misery had some orbit balance changes, remains subpar
edit: i forgot about the harbinger, which says everything you need to know about it
That's true, Strike was always okayish.
I could never make the Curse work, I guess that will continue.
Boot timer on Oblivion? I don't remember what you mean. Also, that's too bad...
Yeah the Misery looks just bad, it's TTK and Range don't match up very well.
*sigh* Oh Harbinger. It's such a cool idea, but it's so awful in implementation I always loved the concept.

I have had this pack since it came out, did they ever make the weapons not terrible?

Wrong game.. that gun is really good though.
Anyways, I trust LO a lot more than I did (the old) G1.

22 minutes ago, MattScott said:Hi all,
I wish you could see the tools we are working with.
I realize this must appear easy, but it's quite the opposite.
Bundles in bundles in uber bundles is the worst case right now.
One would think that the store had some sort of rollup pricing with a discount.
But it doesn't. Everything is manually priced, and there is no easy way for us to pull the contents of a bundle out into Excel.
Our latest effort resulted in a spreadsheet with 70K rows that we eventually winnowed down to 9K rows.
There is going to be a pass this week to get rid of the weird G1C pricing amounts that don't end in 99.
But the more I dig into the code, the more I want to overhaul the whole store to be easier to maintain.
Thanks,
Matt
Sounds like a nightmare.

1 hour ago, MattScott said:Hi there,
Something like this has been discussed a lot internally. I like the idea of a test area where players can shoot targets and get more visual feedback on ranges and damage from the gun they are testing.
Right now, nearly the entire team is focused on the engine uograde, and after that we have a couple other big dev items to release. But then we might be able to take a look at the tutorial and gun training.
Thanks,
Matt
We really need a better tutorial and I would gladly help write it (as I have experience writing instructions, tutorials, and teaching classes).
(I'm the one that did this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAsLcfeY-EQ)
I actually have some really cool ideas for the tutorial that would largely use existing assets.

A lot of these changes are good, but some are baffling.
I thought Matt said that guns would be standardized in pricing across all types? If not, they should be. It should be primaries, and then secondaries (cheaper).
Increasing the cost of kits and skins is very frustrating and confusing.
Decreasing cost of many clothing items is great, though I would like to see more things unbundled (preferably everything)
-
I'm really excited about the ARMAS changes, thanks a bunch Matt (et al), I look forward to taking a look!
I'm really hoping for account unlocked packs and such in the future.
