  1. Honestly, I would love to see more animal outfits. Something more popular with the furry community like Foxes, Wolves, Cats, or Dogs would be really nice. I mean we already got full suits of a Chicken or Bunny, why not something like a Goat suit. Hook a girl up.

Also the ability to change Genders of characters would be really nice too, even if that meant that it would render all clothes on that character unusable. I really would love to play on my maxed out EU characters again, but they were made way pre-transition and I do not like playing as dudes.

  2. I am more than likely not the first person to complain about this. but I am definitely not going to be the last either. To think that things within apb could get any worse... So I really want to recap what has happened since the Fair, Fixed, and Fun patched released:

    1. The big patch has been delayed 1 week: while this is the most minor thing, it was a very bad but needed step to take. however in this process LO did nothing but kill the little hype that people had going

    2. Riot finally came out: those who still had faith were so ready to dive right in and we were immediately faced by issues with Easy Anti Cheat blocking people from playing and servers not loading people in.

    3. oh my god Jericho: since the patch, Jericho players have been experiencing latency that is higher than what you would get for Citadel as an NA player. as well as Citadel players getting 3 times as much ping on Jericho.

    4. No not Citadel too: While Citadel's latency is okay, the servers went out for a few days during a "network Outage"

    5. Oopsie Doopsie: There is also the issue of Riot constantly crashing people at random, causing a full reinstall and an annoying series of Errors from EAC.

    6. Muh Moneh: Many people who were thirsty for the new jmb primary were ready with their wallets open and ready to spend. unfortunately, for many people their money went into the void. I have found a group of people like myself who had spent money on getting a few things (mostly joker boxes, and in my case a DMR), and it gladly took our money, but didn't get the goods. hope they respond to the ticket before Riot dies, oh wait...

Im trying to make this brief and put my opinion out there on this. but this is the peak time for Jericho and Riot is already dead, many people are leaving because of the servers. and LO? they have neglected to address the issues of Jericho, and the purchase issues. while they are fast to fix Citadel's issues. feels like the transparency is starting to fade more into a solid wall. So I am going to repeat the question in the topic, what has happened to apb? it feels like we been yeeted into a pit of fire and are trying our best not to burn. as of right now, and has been all day, the pop of Nekrova has been a tad higher than Jericho and Citadel staggers at 600 to 700 players. that totals to 900 players at most. and the population is furthering downward. and people are already starting to make threads on how riot is dead on Jericho. it is a mess, and I am legitimately fearful of the future of this game.

Please do give your thoughts, I want to see how other people are taking the situation. hopefully a lot less panicked than me rn.

  3. A small update to me returning to the 2nd test a couple hours later:

I still keep my stand on the post previous to this one on the thread, however after playing with a different set of friends, I realized my conclusion is a bit harsh. like the statement I made during the stress test, the game mode is much more enjoyable when played with friends, and with smaller number of teams. seems like the more teams there are, the less enjoyable that it became. with the smaller groups we had upon getting on to this much later test; Me, Iroc, Blank, Tizzie, and Murk can agree that we all had a good deal of fun playing with each other in each round as the number of teams became smaller. This gamemode still needs a lot of tweaking and changes to some of the mechanics of how it works, but it is still enjoyable right now. Thank you Com, the gm who was hosting these tests, for making this possible today and he really added into the fun experience. I look forward to the last and third test if there will still be one~

  4. good god, where do I start? ugh.

    Cons:

-So to start with, me and a couple of my friends have been having issues with the audio working in the game. no gunshots, no footsteps, no nothing. complete silence.

-It feels like as if almost nothing was changed, the spawn points are still as wonky as ever. respawning next to enemies and absolute havok.

-changing the sidearm to the fbw was a bad idea, it really doesn't add much to the gameplay. it gives skilled players a major advantages over new players.

-it was discovered that OTW is very insecure, I had heard that someone on there was IP pulling and doxing people ingame and that itself is not acceptable.

-With random start spawns and no stun upon getting down that was recommended, the game really felt too much like a convoluted version of normal missions

-There generally still is not much of a sense of direction, and would be extremely confusing for new players

    Pros:

-Removing the ability to use vehicles is more than likely for the best.

-The new respawn system is nice, It makes rounds not end so quickly.

-The abundance of servers that you can switch between is a nice change, to my surprise it worked quite well in OTW where I could immediately start a new game after another.

    Conclusion:

I am going to be very honest. I hate it, I absolutely hate it. as it is now, those things make the mode boring very quickly. it feels so raw and directionless, and it will need some major improvements before it will be worth the time of new and old members of APB. after all the time and delay, we expected quite a bit sure, but with those high expectations, I was thoroughly let down. I sincerely hope that these changes are made because I really love this game, and want this gamemode to be successful. But as it is right now, this will not be the thing that will save apb's low population, and that alone scares the mess out of me.

  5. 1. How does RIOT compare to other APB game modes?

-Riot poses a different concept into apb gameplay, using elements of apb's vanilla game mode's mixed in with the chaos of Fight Club and the structure of an extended mission, then they add a good flavor of Battle Royal, but different. It does add a great spice to the normal gameplay.

    2. Would you encourage your friends to play RIOT?

-This is definitely a game that requires some real teamwork. Missions require a good team, but RIOT will really need a good group of friends to have the best experience. I played the game with my friend IrocKiller and Saxtus. We all had a great time for the most part. the coordination aspect of this game will be a fun pointer when trying to get my friends to play this with me. as they say, games are better in large numbers.

    3. How would you explain RIOT to someone who has never seen it?

-Riot Mode is a teamed free for all game that starts you with just a snub nose and nothing else with a team of your choosing. you will start by looking for weapons (most important) and money. As well as hunting for a RedHill detonation code. You can use the money to buy your weapons that you have equipped outside of riot mode (in my case, a FAR and a Thunder), or you can buy an extra life if you are down a life, or you can spawn a car. Once you get the codes, you must start detonating bombs and eliminating your enemies. at this point you will keep an eye on the map til you get to the final area and hunt down your enemies.

    4. What ONE THING would you change about RIOT if you could?

-A theme that is common on a lot of BR type games and game modes is that when people get shot at and their health is gone, they would get knocked down and then would have to get shot up again to get kills. In Riot mode, I would like to see them implement this same system. but when knocked downed, players do the stunned animation and if teammates don't pick them up after a certain time, they die.

    5. What is your favorite aspect of RIOT?

-Starting with no weapons, and working your way up to getting your best set up, it really does feel nice and forces people outside of using their usual meta. although you can get those guns they like later in the game, having it start that way is really interesting and refreshing.

    6. What about RIOT do you like the least?

-The long wait times after each match can get annoying, especially if you get killed really early in the game. it becomes discouraging after awhile. this was also a con of previous events like the Xmas event.

    Extra Pointers:

-Spawns can be broke, I sometimes spawned between two actively fighting teams and die immediately

-Sometimes camera breaks and you get stuff looking at a wall after dying in spectator mode.

-You are not always able to see player names in game, and never able to see them in spectator mode.

-when buying a secondary weapon, sometimes it makes the primary weapon despawn

-When you are in a group of 2, the game will not add two solo's in the group, and therefore you will only be a group of two in a game full of 4 man teams.

-You are not able to spawn cars in the game it seems (I have seen others, but I have not been able to spawn one myself, despite having the Redhill cash needed.

-For most of the round it is dead silence. no ambient sounds or anything. I didn't realize this till my team had left. and it is really unsettling to say the least.

-The map is far too big in the final stages. It does decrease as the round goes on, but the final stage is still big enough to where teams will not encounter each other and it makes for long stalemates of scared to aggro players.

-The Detonation codes seem to have infinite uses. Once I got one of them, I was able to set off multiple bombs. is this intentional? *(Newly added point)

    Conclusion:

-The game is extremely fun for what it is. I can see that it needs a lot of work and improvement, however it did meet my expectations and I can't wait to see what the final product will bring. with the right tweaks and advertising, it will be a refreshing new game mode for new and veteran players alike to return to.

Well it's all based on a post with lots of 'hopes'. We know more though now. We know SPCT have played on it. We also know there's a ton of bugs. And by the sounds of it, it won't be on test servers in a month but we really don't know. Either way if op wants to upgrade do it, Everyone loves an upgrade. But if you're really just upgrading for APB and you totally want to upgrade in the most efficient way for APB then wait.

Yeah I ain't no testy tester. I just get to read stuff.

Don't listen to him WQ, You're not just some random player. You're a great friend and a fantastic eventer :'3

as far as im aware theres a hard limit on how many ui elements can appear on your hud at any given time, thats what leads to the disappearing act

dont think theres any way to change this since (afaik) the ui is plastered all throughout the spaghetti code of apb

blood splatter has never been a good indicator of a "hit" since its client side only iirc

Still, if that is true how come these issues are only appearing as of lately. and it makes All ui elements disappear at once. it doesn't seem to go back to normal til a full restart.

  9. After awhile with enjoying the Beacon and the Slay Bells event I can say that they do work as intended and it is for the most part very enjoyable. However, since the new update it feels like that the event itself is causing a variety of bugs for normal missions.

    1. This one is probably the most irritating, for some reason players points of interest start to disappear, this includes Objectives you need to capture/defend, seeing teammates, and even seeing enemies! the band aid fix for this is to just simply restart, but it is quite infuriating for it to happen mid-mission and feeling lost without having to open the map.

    2. Strange hit registry? I've test this on a friend a few times as to trying this issue in multiple missions. Hit reg is known for being off in this game however, it goes as far as you having to question if it hit or not, even if you see blood splatter. it gives the appearance that the guns being used are outputting much less damage then they should.

    3. Sometimes dying with the Secret Santa box weapons will respawn you with the weapon still in hand, however you are unable to shoot nor able to drop the weapon. eventually after (10 minutes in my case) the gun does disappear but rendering you unable to shoot or switch weapons is rather annoying.

    4. An early Christmas gift for dethreaters? I been playing quite a lot as of lately and have been doing rather decent. well after a mission I had went down in threat to silver after a bad match with a 1.0 k/d. as it would sound easy to go back up to gold, I had went through 3-4 missions consecutively with killstreaks of 5+ along with winning the mission with mvp and still somehow stayed in the silver threat. seems as if going between threats have become harder in which benefits those who are trying to stay silvers. (I finally did get it back upon winning a mission with a killstreak of 13.)

Feel free to mention anything that I haven't mentioned on here, but I felt I should at least say something about these issues since they have been very common as of lately.

  10. Major problems:

-It seems that being in a group with someone will guarantee you to be in the same team as them no matter what, this can lead to unfair matchmaking.

    Minor problems:

-The OGPL timer is unnaturally longer, it isn't a major problem but it does catch me and others off guard.

-Car explosions seem to be able to get kills

-The droppable Joker Boxes give strange Legendaries (Ex. Medusa with the skin of a True Ogre and an Ursus with the skin of a Nano) while Im sure it is a glitch, it was definitely interesting to see.

-The freeze zone rather kills too slowly or it doesn't kill you at all.

    Strong sides:

    - The rewards only being simple things makes this a much more casual and enjoyable experience

    Overall opinion:

This is a big step up from the Autumn assault event, It is less stressful, unique, and a generally fun experience.

There are ppl who have won the event 10 times already within the 1st 5 days and the fact that only 1st place gets the skin is bs. How exactly is that fair when the same ppl repeatedly win and others cant get the skin cause LO cant give it out to the top 5 on the leader board? It really should be top 5 as thats fair given the amount of ppl trying for the skin and the fact that #2-5 constantly change unlike the winner at #1.

I completely understand your frustration. Closest I get is always second place. still as I said above, top five seems to be very extremely easy. I feel like top 3 would be fair, but will still keep the gamemode's competitive aesthetic.

  12. So I been playing the event with my friends everyday with my friends since it has came out, and I can say that there are many issues that many of you guys have said but not spoken much about. So here is a small list of things that are apparent issues with the Event as of so far.

    1. Event can be stubborn when deciding you are in the area or not. Most everyone talks about this, we could be 1 meter away from the point and it still won't let us in the event.

    2. A follow up to issue 1, you can sometimes still be able to get shot at and killed while those around you are still grey.

    3. Spawn points seem to be random, you can rather spawn in the action and go right to killing or be instantly killed, or be spawned 200+ meters away.

    4. The game sometimes kicks people from the event, ultimately resulting in the event giving you absolutely nothing despite your score (However a gm has told me that LO will be rewarding these tickets back at a later date)

    5. Lastly, the issue of actually winning the skin. There are an assortment of different players coming in and for the first few rounds, it is quite alright. but then certain people come in and end up winning most of the rounds. ending up coming everyday and doing the same thing. Asking people politely Doesn't work. For the most of them, the goal is actually preventing others from winning.

Now I am not going to just complain about the issues, but I do have some suggestions about how some of these aspects could change to make the event a tad less frustrating.

    1. Now I do not know how the event is ran or what you guys modified from the out 12 days of deathmas minigame, but since the area is a big issue, then perhaps in needs to be moved to the fight club beacon map since it was designed to host this kind of event.

2, 3, 4. moving the event to the old minigame map would also help with spawns, since you would be able to attack anyone upon coming back, and be able to use long range weapons more efficiently.

    5. Now this is where most of the discussion will most likely spark. Now I had two ideas that have been discussed between friends, now some people have referred to making the top 5 people win the skin; However I believe that it is a tad overkill, top 3 could be a happy medium where those same people can still win their 250 JT and those can still win the skin. another suggestion could be a progression. if someone who wins already has the skin, the next one down should be awarded the skin.

Other people have asked to remove to the 250 jt reward, but I personally believe that it will not find the issue at hand. and no player deserves to be kicked from the event for winning too much. You guys can give me some thoughts and suggestions for how you would like things to be done differently with the event. hopefully my feedback will be helpful to better the event.
