As far as I'm aware they're checking through each ban manually which can be a slow process. BE will be here soon so just be a little patient, or take a break from the game for a week or so. Kinda what I'm doing right now.

He's correct, it's not currently possible due to engine limitations. After the engine upgrade it might well be something they look into.

Fairfight is still running in the background. They have just disabled the /report feature and in-game broadcasts.

Also the /who or /pop which shows the people on the server would alos have to be gone then. otherwise you just se the district, hop through all financials using the chat command to see if you are on the right one.
But then, should we really have these features remaovd because of some bad apples? can we again "not have nice things"?
Most streamers have the game hidden until after they've joined a district anyway. At least that's what I do. It's the only thing I've been able to do to counter streamsnipers in the past (and trust me, I suffered from a lot of it). I don't see the point of having the /who feature anymore either. All of the above just causes more harm than good when it comes to streamers, and if someone like Summit comes back then it's gonna be nothing more than another shit fest for them.
It's harder for them to take action on people streamsniping than it is to make a few tiny changes like this, and will improve on a lot of the playerbase's toxicity problems.

Just now, LilyV3 said:it's not hard to streamsnipe because someone is streaming, so that change to the friend request wouldn't really help preventing it.
As it stands right now, anyone can add you to friends list to see which district you're in and then follow you around. It can also be done through the search function, which honestly needs to be removed anyway.
If you can't find which district a player is on then it's harder to streamsnipe. Full districts and lack of queue system are the only things helping prevent it right now.

Just now, AboLaden said:Actually proper implementation of PB and FF like Battlefield 4 kicks a lot of cheater patootie. If you play BF4 frequently you don't see this much of cheaters and it's also FF + PB. But I recall EA making some tweaks to them for improving their detection and analyzing abilities and accuracy.
Never played any other shooter besides APB and Fortnite so I can't really say. I have no idea how effective Punkbuster is else where, just that it never did its job in APB because, as far as I know, G1 weren't paying for an updated version of it. I believe that might also be what ended up happening for FF and why it suddenly became so awful in catching cheaters.

Just now, AboLaden said:I've seen more than than, but definitely I agree. Battleye is an improvement in every way possible. I mean, I am hoping for a cheat-free APB, especially that Battleye is having a hard time right now since hackers are experimenting more with its mechanisms and finding new loopholes day by day. You can even see Battleye talking about that.
My point is that we shouldn't rely *only* on one cheat detection mechanism, especially when new cheats for it are currently being on the rise now.We won't be relying on just one anticheat. FF will still be there alongside BE as a secondary tool for gathering data and confirming what BE detects. We've all seen how shit APB has become since the removal of PB and tweaks to FF in late 2016, cheating became as rampant as it was before FF. I wouldn't bother bringing PB back though.

I've seen maybe 3 cheaters at most in Fortnite in a few hundred hours of play time. I can log on APB right now and find that many in just one mission. /shrug

APB has long needed something like this or a privacy function when it comes to online status regarding streamsniping or harassment.
Wouldn't stop people using the /who function while hopping districts but it'd be a great start, especially if we see bigger streamers returning to the game.

Idk why it's turning into some drama thing
This is obviously just laggy servers from the time, completely unrelated to the topic at hand. Shini had no latency spikes, no packet loss and the server was a stable 33ms. There is no possible way he could have teleported without third party intervention.

I've been without premium for about a year now. I don't exactly need the cash anymore, but I've gotta say the game does get very tedious very fast when it comes to levelling contacts (mission play in general, especially cooldown timers for ammo boxes or nitrous), or being unable to customise your character to an acceptable level.

This is how APB should've been developed to begin with. It makes no sense to have separated servers across the world. If you look at MMOs like Runescape they have servers located all over the world for players to switch between freely. The problem is it's pretty much impossible to change at this point, though it might be with the upgrade to UE4 since that's basically rebuilding the game from ground up.
So do we not have AntiCheat at this time?

I didn't say it 'works', I said it's running in the background. FF has been shit since G1 fucked with it back in late 2016, which I've said repeatedly lol
