  1. I feel like the game is fine as it is by development.

It does not need to add more stuff, maps or anything, the game is already complete as it is now. Heck, there is a ton of fake weapon reskins that could be easily remvoed to improve the gun balance since right now there is too many to do anything working enough.

What the game really needs, and G1 always failed to achieve, was a good new player introduction, advertisement and, most importantly, cheater detection. Reduce the cheaters and improve the new players tutorial, and you will see the game at peak success again.

You are not bored from the lack of content. You really are bored from playing always with the same 15 hardtriers, rerolls and cheaters, with the occasional random ragequitting after two missions.

World of Warships has SuperTesters and Community Contributors, which have a special role on the WoWs forums, and are also under NDA. Nobody cares.

I don't think it's fair to compare with a massive company with an incredibly good reputation such as Wargaming. There is no care about the NDA because the devs themself post often all the informations about their current works and plans, leaving nothing to be guessed.

  3. Just a note, but I feel like this whole SPCT idea while useful (all games should have dedicated testers) is being handled wrong. Forum role alone is breaking apart the community, sort of "elevating" said members from the rest of the community when, in fact, they are exactly like everyone else.

I agree it is very important to announce now that a SPCT team is being created (it's a nonsense to keep it secret) but there is no need to specifically indicate the names. Especially since you talk about NDA, giving the names means we can now directly bother them to unofficially update us on upcoming changes.

BTW, what are the new registered players going to think? Whenever they will see a "SPCT" role posting on the forums with a comment, without any indication of their real role anybody sane will think of it as a moderator or a community rapresentative. Which is false and only abusable.

I feel where you are coming from, I really do. And while it's still early days for SPCT, I think you may be overestimating our level of influence. LO has their own Quality Assurance people who handle the majority of that work. The SPCT members (again, as I understand it) are just there as a safety mechanism assuring that the QA members haven't overlooked anything that a veteran player might not miss. On top of that I can assure you that aside from still adding members to SPCT, the employees of LO are constantly monitoring the forums and listening in game for general player feedback and suggestions.

If the SPCT has so little impact what was the point to publically create a role on the forums? It entirely misleads the purpose of the team and provides no use other than create a target for griefers to harass and blame issues on others.

  5. It is only a skin. Like, most players don't even have the game graphics set high enough to notice it.

I don't mind if it was given away toe verybody, because the prize was not the problem. The point of the event was to have fun, not winning a forgettable skin, and I feel like the fun part was failed.

I appreciate there is an attempt to make up for the mistakes, I hope that you understand it is way more important to improve the enjoyment of the game, and not just give away little treats and believe nothing wrong happened.

Jesus you've worked 21 days straight?

You need to get a better job my guy.

To each their own! I don't need to explain my life to you. Just to keep it simple, I had a business trip taking away 10 days of that event. On the other days I would get home exactly when the event was finished. I had only a weekend in which I could access it if life wasn't more of a priority, and anyway, sadly weekend network is often too bad for me to play.

This still doesn't excuse how a limited time event is a bullshoot plan for the players.

  7. APB would have been a top mmo game... 6 years ago.

Now it's late. By the time all the "If that, if this" are completed, the game won't even be supported anymore on most pcs. Even now I am struggling to make the game run well with my pc.

    Noted.

There are some time slots which we have to stay within due to availability. I would suggest trying to show up during the weekend instead, but if it proves to be a massive issue for a lot of players I'll see if I can bring it up to the team.

    Thank you for the feedback.

Any news on changing the event schedule? It's still annoying to not be able to play it. Trying to show up in the weekend doesn't really help, as it pretty much makes the event available only a couple of times then...

  9. Sure, just wait for the engine upgrade!

By 2014 it will be released with Dynamic Virtual Reality Graphic and Holografic 3D Environment Projection systems.

Game is old. It won't get upgraded graphics. The only way to do that is work on an entirely new game from grounds up, but apparently there is never a company with enough resources to invest into that. Get your soul at peace, APB is and will die the way you have it now. At max, it will get worse performance with the passing time.

  10. I don't see what is the reason of changing the skin prize. Was it because of the very few complaines about "exclusivity"? You really listened to them after giving away all the other exclusive items and even putting them on armas marketplace already? Man, I do appreciate you listening to the community, but you really should think up better these decisions before making them in effect.

Btw, 5 PM on Citadel is way off-limit during the weekdays, anybody who works in EU is still at work by that time.

If you talk about the game's age as a reason for the game being as dead as it is, you are an idiot. Period. What about WoW? FFXIV? FFXI? The hundreds, even thousands of other games far older than APB that are, to this day, alive and kicking? FFXI has been around since 2002 and has a larger player base than APB. Game age is not an excuse.

Wow and Final Fantasy are pretty special snowflakes which: 1. fall into a different game category (MMORPGs) and 2. received massive content updates over the years to keep up. APB can't even remotely compare to that, which puts it at the same level of the thousands of other games that became obsolete.

The issue is that in case of other games, the makers smartly close it before it's too late and move up onto the next project.
