yeah the south just didn’t like vibes of the union anymore

they totally werent afraid of economical and political collapse when their “right” to own other human beings was inevitably taken away

what percentage of the south at the time of the civil war do you think owned slaves? what percentage of Africans in the transatlantic slave trade actually ended up in the united states? why is it that almost all of the soldiers doing the actual fighting in the south weren't slave owners? slavery in the united states was already being slowly phased out if you look the at laws/policy/economic/social changes happening leading up to the civil war. ya'll really need to start reading more and not just history books but reading things like letters and newspapers to understand the sentiment of those living in the time.

Quite honestly should get fixed through another med spray nerf (or flat out removing it because consumables should have never been a thing in the first place) I don't think anyone enjoy playing K3/Medspray as well as no one enjoying playing against it, its just a net negative to the game.

Pretty much said this since day 1 consumables never should've been added. its just another money sink like gun rental/ammo/car spawn all to push players to spend actual real money on the armas market to alleviate the need to constantly grind/'skill' gap.

  3. honestly they should just reverse all bans and turn off eac auto banning to figure out what is causing these false positives

    Merged.

Someone told you that support told them that they were banned because of Flaws’ config?

support can't tell you anything because it would obviously make it easier for cheaters to circumvent the anti-cheat that's also why delayed bans are a thing /s. definitely has nothing to do with the biggest lie that is constantly perpetuated by those who work in tech aka 'security through obscurity' which just lets developers be lazy also lets companies just sell stuff that becomes literal e-waste. yeah that iot device that has to connect to a specific server to work that's definitely not going to become a brick.

If that was the case, they wouldn't have Linux support. The reality is there's less profit supporting 7/8. They don't need to keep those old devs around who know the operating systems, and don't need to retrain new devs. I bet they wouldn't support Linux either if it wasn't for Steam deck existing.

On Windows 7, I had the garbage collection stuttering, and if I turned that off, the fps would drop over time. Borderless and Fullscreen didn't have much of a difference with input lag.

On Windows 10, the fps drops over time regardless of what configs I use. There's noticeable input lag. Average fps is lower if I don't turn off fullscreen optimization. Borderless feels like 60fps with vsync.
On Linux, it's about the same as Windows 7, but with higher average fps. This probably due to DXVK spreading the CPU load more evenly across CPU cores.

Not an apples to apples comparison, since I can't test the latest APB patch on Windows 7, and I didn't test the older versions on Linux or Windows 10. Regardless, there's noticeable overhead with the way Windows 10 handles DX9 games. I wonder if EAC allows DXVK on Windows?

They used to block linux not sure if its still an option on eac to block it but I know rust did in the past. Also linux is harder to use for the avg windows user resulting in less cheating on that os in general and not every game runs on linux especially natively.

also why is this vehicle listed under emotes lmao, literally no part of this release is bug free

mind boggling fumble at the 1 yard line, if you'd just kept the car under wraps instead of trying (and failing) to distract the community from the stagnant roadmap you could have released a decent piece of content on your own time

this ^. rushed the release to steal dumb kids christmas money.

Whenever there's balance changes, there's going to be posts complaining about balance I guess.

TG8 could use a very small accuracy buff, but then again the same can be said for the OCSP, as that's the weapon it takes the accuracy stats from IIRC. The idea is that both guns are supposed to be slightly less reliable than the FBW and the 45AP. Both guns can carry themselves currently if you're really really good with your trigger finger. Neither weapon should become equivalent to the FBW in its bloom however.

just needs faster bloom recovery or less bloom per shot so it stops reaching max bloom like mid way through the mag its already a slower ttk than fbw/45. guns in apb should just over all be more accurate but that'd make it more obv how bad apb's hit registration is.

    1. Yes, i got 2013 laptop and it can't handle win10. Yet it handles apb just fine.

    2. I don't have to have an "excuse" to use whatever os is suitable to me.

3."Continue supporting" means updating it. Forcing old programs to stop working on it w/o any reason whatsoever is not related in any way with "supporting".

Win7 has no support since 2020 or something around that. Wasn't an issue until after corporate f*cks suddenly decided to turn old stuff off in 2024 because f*ck you, thats why.

Yes i do, for the reason stated in part 3.

I'm sorry but I just don't believe you

You are 100% correct. But if we release content with terrible matchmaking, players won't come back either. So releasing matchmaking + new content is the goal.

New content requires employees to make you only have 1-1.5 devs. Do you guys even still have 3d/2d artists or animators or map designers on staff? How are you supposed to release new content on such an ancient game engine especially one that still uses such outdated tech like scaleform. Think about how long the on boarding process will take to get these ppl up to snuff to actually start working. How are you going to pay these ppl to do that work when you guys aren't really making any money except on small projects that game devs/publishers sub contract out to you? what's the plan when these steps don't revive the game because the game is so old no one wants to come back? how is apb 2 supposed to happen when you sold the apb ip to unit game? sorry if you can't elaborate but honestly these are very real questions you should be asking yourself.

Alright thanks for your input, but what about manual bans? can LO staff tell the difference?

manual bans(they might have to 'clear' the ban list i.e. hit the ban button for accounts that reach the flag threshold) for cheating don't really happen. I'm sure LO might look at evidence(video/clips) if someone has already been flagged by the anti-cheat but for the most part both LO and G1 don't/didn't resort to manual bans for cheating unless your name was known.

Yea it’s strange to see someone who’s been in game for 10 years + not known for cheating ends up banned while few others are still cheating lol classic apb.

I use NordVPN to play apb and I believe most players use exitlag to reduce ping + better routing.

The concerning part is not the program itself but the IP address that they assign you with and if EAC or LO set to flag these previous banned players IP address it may automatic flagged those accounts who are using it legit

Can anyone in LO confirm this is true?

its not true no anti-cheat will ban you for having JUST the same ip address as a cheater you'd actually need to do other things to trigger a ban.

Normally programs like MSI AFTERBURNER and similar are on the EAC whitelist, such programs were reviewed and approved by EAC and are usually related to companies, other than that any programs that have interaction with macros, vpns overlays etc, or that edit or interact with the memory are named third party applications, which for different reasons can trigger EAC alerts, especially if they are run at the same time as the game and interact with it in some way.

That is why you should avoid such applications and clearly others with cheating intentions.

If you use cheats, EAC will hunt you down and permanently ban you from the game and if you are not careful with other applications you use while playing Apb Reloaded, they may trigger the EAC alert.

My advice to Apb players, just avoid to use macro applications, vpns, overlays or similar if you are not sure that they are approved, avoid downloading unknown files or lending your pc to other people, or obviously share your apb account.

That's cause most of these programs that are published through steam are vetted programs and have therefore been whitelisted by EAC. However, for Crosshair V2 this isn't the case, the program isn't whitelisted, however, it functions through windows' xbox gamebar which will not be flagged as a form of cheat as it is a software running on just about every PC.

TLDR is to use vetted programs that are widespread and have more than just a hand full of users as well as ideally doing your research by doing a simple google search and looking for an official comments from the developers in regards to compatibility with whatever anti-cheat the game is using.

Also, since no one has mentioned it yet, the Forums can't really help you with the issue you're having, what you should do is open a customer support ticket saying that you've been banned by EAC and requesting your playerid so you can then use that playerid to identify yourself during Epic's ban appeal process.

That's not true at all, cheats often use xbox gamebar, OBS, steam overlay, discord overlay, etc. for drawing on screen or if designed really poorly they can exploit there drivers for reading/writing to game memory. using any overlay will cause your account to receive a flag(EAC for instance flags ALL top-most overlays) and with enough flags the anti-cheat will ban you. Modern anti-cheats are a lot like anti-virus software using heuristic analysis which results in a lot of false positives.

Sense of rarity is definitely needed in games, its a goal for players to chase towards, if everything is readily available and easily accessible game loses an important element of progression and collecting. We could argue that there are multiplayer games without any rare items or progression, but those are few and irrelevant to this example, and APB wouldnt be standing here to this day if it were one. Every single game today runs off "artificial rarity". There are events and seasonal sales, in some games there are only few items available on sale everyday out of thousands skins in game, CSGO literally survived on lootboxes. All these 3 are false sense or rarity. There is no other reason to sell event only items only during events, . No one buys chirstmas outfit in middle of summer in real life sure, but in game why would you prevent others from doing that besides creating the sense of "rarity" and limited items.

APB is the game that had lootboxes for over 10 years, now they just changed form to JT gambling, nothing has changed in practice. I guess by definition you would be renting an item with a chance to get a permanent version of weapon now, but it really is same. Reason why Ursus costs 5 million and Hazardous costs 500k is also artificial, based upon stats of guns which are controlled by devs.

My point is, how do you create "real" rarity in a digital world where everything is just a variable. Every single game can just be adjusted by devs for all players to have all items. So every sense of rarity is false sense of rarity which is artificially created by developers. Them adding 5% chance for drop, gun stats, etc, all of it is artificially made.

How do you create real sense of rarity in games? How would you reintroduce the FFA so it doesn't lose its value completely and ruin the value for owners already? FFA used to be the ultimate goal for money collecting, after 20ish million you kind of already have everything, especially if you dont care much about having custom items from other players, so the remaining thing to collect is FFA.

Also, no one is forcing you to get FFA, if anything its easier to get now. What is getting exploited are people who love to gamble and people who owned FFAs prior for their items losing in value. For a person who genuinely wanted to get FFA to play with it, it costs around 10 million now, instead of 20-25, so its a positive change to them.

This was an easy cashgrab, which reintroduced a famous weapon to be available to wider variety of players, and they went for it with minimal effort, and it worked out great in terms of earning money and getting the gun more widely available to players. I used to mind it at first because i got sold FFA because people had insider information about the event, but i think im over it now. What i wish is we got a new legendary instead (there are literally unused gun models still which could've been sold as fun and useful legendaries), big summer sale with 50% off items, or better summer event where we can actually earn some things, but i guess they needed money this time, since there havent been new things on sale for a while.

Also, also, one of the examples of real predatory things in this game are faction locked packs, and no ability to buy account wide cars. Having to pay 20$ to get coywolf or vegas 4x4 per character instead of having like 25$ or 30$ account wide option is an example predatory practice.

Rarity is fine but it shouldn't be the case for paid digital items(or things won in a giveaway/contest) that'll just disappear after the game dies or which will lose rarity when the devs decide said item is no longer rare or limited which is the case with the star lcr and now the ffa. Can't wait for them to add N-HVR 762c 'Rapid-99' to the joker ticket store or N-HVR 243-SD 'Sluttles' or any other 'limited'/'rare' item.

Mind explaining to me how do you create a "real sense of rarity" with a digital item?

That's the point they're making is the seller of the digital item is creating a false sense of rarity its exploitative marketing like loot boxes or having something always 'on sale'. The always 'on sale' being something that is already illegal in many countries. Can't wait for laws to catch up so we won't have to deal these unethical marketing tactics. Game companies that do this are just as bad as cheaters in my mind.

The FFA being available for a limited time only is a way to appease both those who want to get their hands on one, as well as those wishing to keep it scarce.
I dunno what all the fuss is, seems a logical solution.

nah seems like a desperate money grab and it does the opposite of appeasement

As you’ve no doubt been told, any time you use a 3rd party program you risk your account. It’s always been this way.
That being said, APB customization is nothing without overlays so hopefully something can be done about this. In the meantime I’m not making any symbols, too much risk, and that’s the advice I give to everyone.

Can confirm I was banned for steam, discord, and chrome.

Because some players get better connection closer to east or west? There are many players who play from outside of NA.

A decade ago there were 2 populated NA servers,  Colby (WEST) and EAST (Joker) which divided NA player base apart, while Colby (west) allows other players located outside of NA, they were able to play on a ping of 160-180 (Asia + Oceania). G1 merge the server into 1 region,  which later includes the players from the server of Brazil and Asia/oceania (han).  So NA has a large apportion of different regional players.

how does it feel to lose to someone with a higher ping?

colby died so they merged the last 10 players should just be east servers only.
