  1. Individual players face a significant disadvantage when pitted against coordinated groups in this game. Its age has rendered even skilled solo players unable to overcome the teamwork employed by these groups. Collaborative strategies such as flanking, assisting, baiting, and sharing information among teammates provide a substantial advantage.

    Skilled solo players get brain damage because the left over solo players are dumb game sense wise.

    Here is the code and fill it out 😠

    int main() {
        bool playerInGroup = true;

        if (playerInGroup) {
            cout << "Access denied to district." << endl;
            // Your deny entry code goes here
        } else {
            cout << "You have access to the district." << endl;
            // Your allow entry code goes here
        }

        return 0;
    }

    Really. Gee I thought I was going 18/6 to one doctor or another, and when i wasn't, if i were to use the toilet, the doctors will call.

    You see I have a Life, and Cancer is trying to take it, And it should please sociopaths like you to know that the pain is horrible.

      Bro, Are You wearing a Cape

    I hope you beat cancer, but you don't need to be negative 24/7 on a game with 400 players. If you don't like it, you can leave easily

    No they keep the servers on because this is the only relevant active title on their portfolio..

    Without this they have absolutely NO WIND in their sails...

    Have you read what I mentioned? Their primary business model involves creating assets for other game companies. They acquired Gamersfirst most likely due to its low cost, seeing it as a potential future platform to launch new titles whenever they develop a game and believe the timing is opportune. I hope they decide to shut down the game so that those who constantly criticize it will feel disappointed when they genuinely want to play.

  4. Little Orbit isn't facing financial issues. They are focused on creating assets for other companies, which generates the necessary income for the company to sustain its operations and pay salaries. APB serves as more of a side project, typically worked on by one or two individuals. It's not a high priority and won't likely become one in the future unless it undergoes significant changes that make it worth re-releasing and marketing.

    Matt himself mentioned that they maintain the servers out of goodwill, as it likely costs more to keep them running than the revenue they generate for the game.

    True that.

    This windows 10 thing is getting more annoying: steam, rockstar launcher and now apb.

    Not that I am very active at the game recently, but I sure won't "upgrade" when they're trying to force me.

    I play old sh*t, like apb, yeah. My pc is old as well, just enough to play my favourite old sh*t. It does run win7 fine, but it can't take win10. I am not buying new pc because suddenly every corporate f*cks in 2023 decided I have to.

    I'd rather just stick to old offline stuff, than submit to this extortion.

    Your game clearly does not require win10 in any way, as it didn't in past 12 years.

    If you can't deal with eac, find another anticheat.

    You think every corporate does it out of ooh something new? They are doing it because Win 7 is EOL no more security updates and patches. *Pause* lil homie.

    This is US East. The service provider's Point of Presence (PoP) is located on the east, but occasionally it takes an extra 80ms within their network to reach the server.

    More details:

    LO uses Path Network Inc for DDoS protection. The IP range APB's servers is owned by Path, and is suppose to be anycasted, as in have multiple locations to connect into Path's network services. Problem is it's not or doesn't work. There's only 1 route to each APB server. It's not the end user's ISP since all ISPs route to the same PoP. When that PoP gets overwhelmed, everyone is affected.

    Then there's the problem with the netcode that causes players to teleport. It's easy to abuse in your favor. I've contacted support about it months ago but nothing's been done.

    This is such a pain in the patootie since the beginnings of APB. I have 1ms on EU lol. Russian Ivan's be hitting every shot with there 90 MS meanwhile i am shooting at ghosts. When the pop was more EU it was tolerable, but now its straight up unplayable unless i use a VPN get higher ping to not get ttk'ed consistently. It also killed my love for the game since, its just so bs.

    They nerfed the equip time a bit which has nothing to do with the bolt timer (refire timer) which is basically just a flag that does not allow for weapon swaps whilst you are within the refire-timer meaning that once the gun can shoot again you can now swap weapons, its not an individual value on its own that you can tweak, if you wanted to make it longer/shorter you would have to adjust the rate of fire itself which hasn't happened for the Scout. The reason the OBIR lets you swap to your pistol way sooner is because its rate of fire is much faster which in return makes the bolt timer a lot shorter.

    By now, its equip time is a mere 0.1 seconds longer than it used to be with 25 extra damage to compensate. (Initially it was 0.2 seconds longer with 50 extra damage as shown in the screenshot)

    Yeah, I suppose I made a mistake, but that 0.1-second delay was crucial, and the additional 50 damage doesn't add anything of value. There was no reason to make adjustments to the Scout, Mr. SPCT member. That mere 0.1-second delay hindered its close-quarters combat capabilities against CQC players and at long range. If they continue nerfing every gun in the game, it's evident that the Obir will be the next victim.

    This seems to be the pattern: a gun is strong, it gets nerfed, people switch to the second-best gun, and the cycle repeats.

    I agree the current scout sucks, but I also think you're using it wrong. Bolt timer has been the same since release. The slight damage buff from 550 to 575 allows it to kill CA3 users if you miss your second shot but hit the third shot. It gives it a tiny bit more 2 shot range too.

    No lol it hasn't been the same since release. When they buffed the damage they also increased the bolt timer/fire rate to compensate for it . Why just to straight up make it nearly impossible to QS in close quarters what also killed its long range capabilities in TTK.

    when did the scout bolt timer change, last thing i remember was a slight equip time decrease when they pushed the damage down to 575

    When they decided to enhance it, they also extended the bolt timer between shots and the equip time to compensate for the increased damage. Later, they did reduce the damage but chose to keep the extended bolt timer. The gun had a precisely timed window, allowing it to excel in almost any close-quarters combat scenario when every shot landed. However, a single miss meant certain death. Now, that window has disappeared completely.

    It appears that no one had requested these changes, leading me to assume it was the decision of a few disgruntled Silver SPCT member who effectively rendered the Scout useless in close-quarters combat, which in turn made it ineffective at long range. The delay between shots is so extended that a tagged opponent has plenty of time to retreat or activate a shield, unless they are entirely exposed, making it nearly impossible to secure a kill.

  10. You guys really messed with the Scout, and now everyone's all about Obir's. The Scout just doesn't keep up with the current game's Time to Kill (TTK) after the nerf. It's basically an assist weapon now, with that slow bolt timer, giving enemies a chance to dive for cover or throw up a shield.

    It's worth noting that this "nerf" was actually meant to be a buff by increasing its damage, but the sneaky increase in the bolt timer had a different impact. It almost feels like a specific silver SPCT team member got owned by a Scout player in Asylum, leading to this change with the pistol/scout switch.

    The real question is, nobody was really complaining about the Scout, so why the sudden change? It seems like the actions of the same silver SPCT team might be responsible for unbalancing the game, which has been a recurring issue and a contributing factor to the game's decline.
