I’m having trouble logging into Fallen Earth Classic, and I’m not sure if this is only on my side or if something is wrong with the servers.

When I start the game, it keeps trying to connect for a while and then shows: “Unable to connect, please check your internet connection.”

 

I tested it on:
    wired internet
    mobile internet
    VPN(i'm from Russia)

 

The result is always the same. The account website works normally for me.

So it looks like the game client can’t reach the login/auth server properly, rather than this being a normal account or password issue.

 

Is anyone else having the same problem?


And is there any official info about the login servers or the game being down?

Westreach subsector, S1, (Odenville, Midway, surrounding area southwest of Embry), is dead, those that have characters left there are unable to log into them.

 

Any unsuspecting new player that tries out the game eventually wanders into the dead subsector, since it basicaly cuts off the starter area from the next big player hub (Embry).

 

The server hasnt received a much needed restart since friday.

Its bleeding out players. Players that would have otherwise stayed for both classic and the eventual remake. Customers.

 

Please, just restart the server, while there still is a playerbase.

Tried at max, high, medium, low, and absolute lowest settings; max is worst, but even the lowest settings are completely unplayable. The game is just simply so laggy and choppy that I cannot play it at all. My system can run Star Trek Online at max settings without any issues, but for whatever messed up reason Fallen Earth at lowest settings struggles to do anything at all. WTF is going on with this game? What am I missing here? What setting is causing this much graphics lag?

Description:When fighting Loki, there was a glitch and he looked to disappear into the stairs outside his room. He hasn't reappeared in over 48 hours and I am therefore unable to complete the mission.

 

Steps to Reproduce: It's a shared server, so anyone should be able to go to his location [4319410 3291198] and see he is not there.
 
How many times have you recreated this bug: Four separate times in two days.

 

Results: He is still missing.

 

Expected Results: Loki needs to be there so I can kick his patootie.

]]>26044Tue, 28 May 2024 15:04:59 +0000can't get past character select.https://forums.gamersfirst.com/topic/17610-cant-get-past-character-select/ yeah, pretty much just what the title says. i was having real bad latency issues, and then the whole game kinda just gave up.  exit to character select wasn't working, exit to desktop wasn't working and my character could move around and could interact with objects and npc's but couldn't loot/buy/sell/ etc. so i went into task manager and hard crashed the client.

 

...now i can't get past character select. the game boot's up just fine, but literally refuses to load my character. it also lets me enter character creation, but refuses to confirm and load the new character. it's stuck in character select and won't let me connect to the game worlds. i figured i'd wait a few hours and see what happened (it happened around 1am CST) but after 2 hours i just called it and went to bed. woke up this morning, and got as far as it giving me a loading message while sitting there for over 5 minutes. got frustrated, hit exit on the character select menu.

 

...don't know if it changed anything. i'm not getting a loading message anymore, but it didn't seem like it was working regardless. i'm not bitter because there's a problem, i'm upset because i want to play but can't.

Update: was running game through leftover account information on steam, which no longer has a store page. was thinking that might be an issue, so i uninstalled and reinstalled through GamersFirst. about 15m, and now i'm back to getting "your area is currently loading, please wait..." i'm just going to sit on this, and let you guys know what happens.

yeah, it failed. the "your area is currently loading, please wait..." message is still there. but the options delete, create and play have re-lit and when hitting play a sound effect plays. the options grey out for about 15s and then re-light again. going to try deleting the character, see what happens. prolly shoulda explored all this before posting, but at least it'll make a decent record i guess?

Final Update: deleting the character seemed to work. it was only level 4, so that's not a very big deal for me. still, prolly something to look into in case someone else has a similar issue after significant game progression. i'm back in though, and that's all i care about. rock n roll baby, peace out.

This has happened since the last server restart. Evidently something didn't restart correctly. Am trying a defrag of game files and a file check on my end

- do you in general want feedback from your community?
- will you continue to host the game, if there are no players (no community)?

I send a message in chat, it doesn't pop up in Global Chat, I click accept the quest - quest is not in my journal, neither are materials.
I kill mobs and loot them - I lag for couple of seconds, it tell me I looted the corpse but none of the loot makes it to my inventory.
 

Is that some kind of lag issue or issue with the server? I even verified the files and nothing works for hours on end.
