Room Information
Room Names & Passwords will be broadcast when the event is starting, unless otherwise noted in the event's thread.
Event Conduct
NO VOTE KICKING, and no spamming the chat! Keep the game fun & friendly!
Eligibility
All players are eligible to participate, unless otherwise noted in the Event Thread. Some events may require special conditions, like minimum Rank or Premium status. Double participation is acceptable, but double prizes are NOT. The first prize you win will be the only prize you receive for that event.
For example, let's say the prize breakdown is: Top 3 players on winning team receive 5k dinar, top player on winning team receives Famas retail.
Lets say you get into 2 games for the same event, if you place 3rd in the first game you play, and then 1st in the 2nd game, YOU WILL ONLY RECIEVE THE 5K.
Awards
Prizes will be awarded within the 1-3 days following the event. If your award doesn't show in your account or you have a question regarding your award, please send a private message to Napalm or Jericho. Don't flood the forum with new threads - they'll be closed.
Players receive only one reward, even if they participate in several events
Notes
Have fun! Rules may be updated as necessary. Read the event threads for more details!

Event/GM guide to walk all the new players/players whom never played a event to get ready and load up!
*** Special thanks to t3hstormx for making this guide. ***
Let's start off with the GM's.
What are GM's, And what does it stand for?
GM stands for Game Master, They give some freshness ingame in the form of events, and monitor the servers so everyone keeps on to the rules.
Side Note: No, You can't be a GM unless you apply for a job at G1(www.gamersfirst.com/corporate/?q=Careers).
Who are the current GM's?
The current GM's are,
Why can't I whisper G1-Admin-Name GM's?
G1-Admin-Name GM's/Admin's cannot be whispered because their name is too long,
Which will result in a "Player is not logged in, or does not exist" error. This is intentional as the GMs are not there to respond to hacker reports, they are there to facilitate and observe.
What's the purpose of Events?
Events are here to entertain players and let them have fun and they usually include prizes, ranging from dinar to weapons or even bigger prizes!(Gold Premium for example).
What kinds of Events are there?
There are multiple forms of events,
How do I get in these Events?

What kinds of Events are there?
There are multiple forms of events,
- Weekend Events(Saturday)
- Surprise Events(Usually during the week, These occur random, and usually include a story line!)
- Olympics(These are the biggest form of events, There's suppossed to be 4 Olympics a year. It's kinda like a tournament.)
How do I get in these Events?
- Weekend Events: Stay awake and when you notice a broadcast(Message on top of your screen left to 'K2Network and Dream Execution logo's') leave your room or if your in lobby go search for ordinary rooms(Usually named like the event, E.G. 'Rocket Madness' is for Rockets Only) and open up the password pop-up, Keep looking at the top for the Password broadcast and type it in quickly! Done! your in the event if you were fast enough!
- Surprise Events: These get announced on the forums, At least the servers, times and what kind of event, Then the same implies as for the weekend events on the correct server, at the correct time.
- Olympics: These get announced on the forums and you are required to sign-up for them on the forums(Previous Olympics sign-up was premium only) you can sign-up for multiple events(3 max I believe) which K2 will invite you for on the server at the time of the event. F2P players/Players who haven't signed up can join in if there are open spots then the password will be broadcasted just like with Surprise Events and Weekend Events(Olympics usually include quite BIG prizes!)

harpyeagle, on Jan 12 2009, 06:26 PM, said:When you start as a wrong class in a sniper or rockets only even, don't suicide just die as a normal death quickly and switch class. I see alot of nubs suicide in M24 sniper event just because they spawn as medic/assult. It gives you -5 assists(pts). If you die a regular death you get 1pt.
Also track down GM in lobby, turn off invitations. Look for a room page where there is a empty room spot. If the GM leaves lobby that most likely means he/she has made the room and is going to announce in 5-6 seconds. Quickly find the room. It's most likely with ALL ping and Supermaster with yellow text. Ready to enter password while put mouse pointer on OK button. Sometimes passwords are bit long and stupid, you should try to read the password as quickly as possible, and type it fast and accurate.
Watchout for fake rooms, these rooms don't have Supermaster and ping set to green. Also they don't have capatalized room names. For example a fake room could be named "best of the best". Carbon always use "Best of the Best". Sometimes 2 players already enter the locked room which most likely means it's made by a clan to fake the original room.
Few other suggestions, from my own personal experience I have noted that the side GM is on usually loses. So if you get a chance, switch sides. Take the flag first. It gives you instantly 14pts in a 12v12 room. Then use Ammo box, flashes and M14 mines if possible. Use vechicles to kill enemy (7pts/kill). And use a spray weapon such as mini gun, M60 or M249. It's a chaos in event rooms. Everyone is trying to get to 1st place at any cost.

A Guide for Getting Into GM Events
by snipefreak

UPDATE: The weekend Olympic Training events are back!
Introduction
Have you ever heard this:
"OMG NUB K2 THEY NEED TO MAKE MORE ROOM IN EVENTS!!"
"WDF WHY CAN'T I TYPE FASTER?!?!?"
A K2-sponsored event room has probably just fillled up. The purpose of this guide is to help you enter a K2 event with some tips and tricks.
You may think that the only people that get into these events are those who type at 100 wpm. That's not true. The Game Masters will always make the player limit the maximum of the type of mode that is being played:
*CQC: max. 16 players
*UO: max. 24 players
*BG: max. 32 players
Most events are in CQC mode: those are the weekend events, or the "Olympic Training" events. The times for those are not announced and are variable. The prizes for these are 5K dinar, so they're more "minor" events.
You should stand a fairly good chance of getting into the pre-announced events (on the forums), which are generally toward the end of the week (Thursday/Friday Saturday). They are generally held on Urban Ops or Battle Group, with, as you can see, a max of 24 or 32 players. During the busiest times of the day (late afternoon/evening), on the busiest servers (US/UK), and on the busiest mode (CQC), there are probably less than 100 players waiting in the lobby. The rest are in game. Of course, about the time of the event, this number will rise exponentially. However, many people who play WarRock do not bother to frequently check the forums. That's my first tip.
1. Always check the WarRock Forums for the latest GM events. You have an advantage over those who don't, in that you won't be caught off guard by the room and password blaring on the announcement bar. Review the times and servers, so that you know when to be on.
Of course, this does not apply for the Olympic Training events. As a rule of thumb, Olympic Training events are generally on Saturday and are generally at night of the particular region you live in.
Remember also that you'll see a lot of spamming once GMs get on. This tells you that an event is about to start. The announced time, for pre-announced events, is generally 15 minutes to and hour before the event actually starts, perhaps to allow more people to log in, or perhaps they've just been delayed. Once you start seeing messages on the announcement bar, (that would be the text in white, on the top part of the screen) the event is within five minutes of starting. The GMs usually will start with some banter ("Hyperion is such a nub", etc), but will eventually get to the room number and password. It is then that you can find the room where the event will be taking place. Don't wait that long though. Scroll through the rooms even as they talk about getting ready to start.
2. When an event is close to starting, scroll through the rooms to find the room where the GM event will be taking place. New rooms always appear in the first blank space you find as you scroll through the rooms. Events will always a "SuperMaster" game (highlighted in yellow, 5% up next to it). They will probably also have 0 ping, or some small number, since the GM's are where the servers are located. Since it is password protected, double click the room and get ready to type. Hover your cursor over the OK button, since, occasionally, pressing enter doesn't work. Many players just sit stupidly on the first screen, spamming the GMs. Then, when the password is announced, they scramble frantically to find the room. If you're ready to type, then chances are, you'll get in.
Don't forget that sometimes players will crash in the middle of the game. This leads to my third tip.
3. Don't be disappointed if you don't get in. Keep your mouse hovering over the room. Crashes happen. That's why you should always be ready to take some poor guy's spot in the room. Your password stay filled in the form, so I recommend repeatedly double clicking the room and pressing OK, again and again for about five minutes. I'd probably give up after that.
Of course, typing speed always does help. If you need the typing speed...
4. Practice typing. Try typing more ingame. You'll find that your typing speed increases. Check TypingTest for a free test that measures your wpm. About a 30+ wpm is good enough--it'll get you into these event rooms.
5. Keep the ping low. Some GM games have a green ping limits (99- ping). Even if they don't, low ping and less lag is always helpful in winning events. Here are some ways you can get your ping down:
-Close all programs (including Xfire, Vent, etc.). This decreases my ping and my lag. If you need to have xfire or Ventrilo on for some reason, you can restart the programs after you make it into the room.
-Log off all other users on your personal computer. This also, for some reason decreases ping. I suspect that it's because not as many processes are open, so there is less memory usage.
