Summary: Players can see through a wall in Waterfront district.

Description: Waterfront District: Location X:1084 Y:1311
A wall archway of an openable door allows to see though past 43m.

It seems to be a wall texture LOD bug.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the location in waterfront district (See description or video above).
2. Go 45m+ towards the balcony to the east.
3. Notice how you can see players or objects behind the wall archway

How many times have you recreated this bug: 100% of the time

Results: You can see through a wall. With the small gaps left, right & middle of the kickable doors, you can even kill players behind it.

Expected Results: The wall texture should be visible, up to 100m.

Both districts are like this on every building when standing in the right locations. They base the LOD on whether the game thinks you have line of sight rather than just distance. The LOD changing causes fps drops and there is no way to disable it.

Also, a lot of the static mesh is controlled based on where the server thinks you are. There's a bug that allows you desync from the server. When you walk far enough, a lot of buildings don't render.

I had this happen in financial and noticed it when it first appeared as texture spoof

  • Was after I threw a nade at a enemy near the door
  • It blew car up sending the car and enemy(dead) through the wall
  • Same mirror world doorway glitch as your vid

For to add: Most the buildings are not linked the graphics settings and config files, so it doesn't matter if you use minimum or maximum the LODs are unaffected.
