Returning player, crafting build

Hi guys, back after a long break and looking to get in the swing of things again.  I'm level 55 with max AP.  Currently I'm specced melee/max crafter, but the build is bad.  Too many points spent where I don't need them, no points where I do need them.  ATM my survivability is not great.

 

I have a number of full respec injectors and I don't have a problem switching out of melee if it works better.  This will most likely be a PVE only build, as I suck at PVP :Ha Ha Ha:

 

So, max crafting and survivability.  Got some build ideas for me?  Maybe some gear to look for as well.  Thanks!

And you'd probably go with something along the lines of this: http://planer.fallen...1AB010101010101to give you a general idea. Pistols have the most DPS so would be of great use in PvE and in this build we'd use a faction shirt (Traveler Shirt for example) which gives +3 pistol skill then we can gain +4 from endgame Deathmax Magnum pistols (They give +2 per pistol) to reach 195 pistol requirement.

EDIT:

Do note that you only need 98 Intelligence and 95 Perception for max crafting. The build planner will show that only makes 194 tradeskill however it is incorrect and is actually 195 in-game.

What clammy said, but if you have some trouble getting AP weapons, here are some good alternatives ( I did not include DT weapons, as those also require a large DT investment and cannot simply be crafted from traditional lines):

 

Pistols

-Volatile Delta .50 (mastercrafted pistols, volatile upgrade)

 

-Broadhead Delta .50 (mastercrafted pistol)

 

-Fuzzy Bunny (Boss drop, Speedy)

 

-GA-90 Citizen's Guard (mastercrafted SMGs)

 

Rifles

-Coyle 2100 Modified shotgun (mastercrafted shotguns)

 

-Volatile GlobalTech Warmain assault rifle (mastercrafted rifles, volatile upgrade)

 

-Volatile Rangemaster Prime sniper rifle (mastercrafted rifles, volatile upgrade)

 

-Volatile Z.I. LR Custom sniper rifle (upgraded rifles, volatile upgrade)

Thanks Calais for the build guide, and yeah I kinda figured I'd end up going over to pistols.  And thank you for the gear help LilRedhare, ended up picking up a couple of the Broadhead Deltas to start out with.

Ah! Almost forgot...if you have any trouble picking up a GT suit (it is a major time and/or chip investment), an Engineered Mesoprene Suit (+6 Dex, +2 Coord, +4 Ranged Defense) should be ok for now (Armorcrafting, mesoprene armor-engineered mesoprene). You can wear the mesoprene cap with it and still be able to wear a Marksman's Visor (Science, Advanced Optics 2); it provides +13 to pistol skill.

 

P.S.-if you have any trouble getting the mats together for any of this gear, PM me in-game (Kit Southworth)...

Yeah good call on that.  I have everything I need to make the Meso suit, but thanks for the offer.
