just a simple question really, is editing your crosshair size on the ini file bannable, or using a overlay crosshair bannable (which is basically a picture of a red dot in the middle of the screen).




please note, this question HAS NOTHING to do with hacking, cheating, aimbot, recoil or whatever. i am asking about a purely cosmetic modification. and for the people who might say "oh, but it will help you aim better" well guess what being a better player makes you aim better too, does that make you a cheater?

Punkbuster has been known to ban for 3rd party overlays. As far as I know, no one has been banned or temp banned for modding .ini files relating to crosshairs. If I even remember correctly, G1 is working on adding new crosshair options in game down the road.

Yeah custom crosshairs would finally shove this out of the way for good..

Official message is: You arent allowed to change it after the EULA, but they won't particularly search for it either. So we are kinda left in the dark here. Many people who use it, still have their account, so it's your own choice. I don't use it, because i want to be safe and i don't need it, tried it for 2 days, but it didn't give me the dsired effect.
