Hello everyone, Here is my data I have collected of known resource nodes in Sector 1, South District Only.
This is Created to help New Players to find their way around FE a bit and not ragequit so quickly.
As well as reduce the HELP Channel from newbies asking where is this type of [Resource] that gets flooded everyday.

So please redirect those questions to the Thread as I have provided a good chunk of Info for them. I appreciate a Sticky.
I will begin to work on the North Section of S1.
I WILL NOT PROVIDE A MAP LISTING FOR SECTOR 2 and ABOVE. They are not STATIC NODES, Your not a noob who needs to have your hand held all the way!

90% of these waypoints will guarantee you 100% drop rate.
Except Junkyards and Junked Items - those will net you alot of Iron, Steel and other misc items.


*"Road of Junked Cars" - Random Items, steel, Iron, Leather and the Rarely seen Glass. Just drive up and down that highway. Odenville to Slaughterville

** RATS - Rats has a high droprate of Weak Biological Chemical.

*** Copper / Lead / Weak Geo. Chemical / Iron
I stopped marking waypoints for them after I realize they are EVERYWHERE.

Basically Look for a Canyon and chances are, there will be a minimum of 6 Nodes for either Copper, Lead, Iron or Weak Geo Chmical.

WAYPOINT_# = 1-100. If your are using VERSION 2 - you will need to make sure they are in Chronological Order

"South Burb Veg Fruits = Description, name of waypoint. You can change these to whatever you like. Letters and Numbers ONLY

X =4399075
Y = 3184907
Z = ignore it

2 Version you can input this data in the game:


Version 1) Right click on the Map and you should see[ X: numbers] [Y: numbers]
Input the[ X coord] and [Y coord] and click Enter, Ok, whatever it is.
Look for a Yellow X and Wallah.. there you go.

-Open your character's Configuration Setting
- Scroll all the way down, the last line should be (I assume) = PACKTAB=,tf127 All

So Im at a location in South Burb , do the rats only come out at night time? seems that IRL that the time tey come out. Its awayaway from midnigt. So is there a certain time they show up to eat there crops?

due to the next patch as of Nov 7th 2011
- Added tinfoil to the loot tables of the Gully Dogs in Terance.
- Some remaining NPCs that were missing loot have been fixed, including Throwbacks and CoGs. (I will check their loot table later today)
- Corrected harvest components for black ants, scorpions, wasps, brown bears, and coyotes. (I will check their loot table later today)
- Added a chance for protein and raised the chance of biologic chemical from harvesting creatures. (will see who drops more frequent)

UPDATED Nover's List:

Tinfoil can be harvest by Gully Dogs, no longer a rare

Quick note. I've seen that gathering Refuse nodes also has a slight chance at providing Glass. The level of the node determines the quality (Scrap, Salvaged, Polished, etc).

I would like to know more info on the level aspects pls. I am too busy to starting figuring that out.

Let's take the Refuse node as an example.

1-30 Scavenging skill: Most likely will harvest Scrap
45: Low chance of Salvaged, but possible.
60-90: Higher chance of Salvaged, low chance of Scrap
105-135: Almost always Salvaged
150: Chance of Polished (in the case of glass, Average item otherwise)

You can actually juxtapose that with each node. I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to common drops from those nodes listed (I hit the nodes with autoloot activated and move on), but the quality versus skill structure remains generally the same. So if you're hunting for scrap materials, hit nodes 1-45, and so on.

I hate to say that, but some of your notes or quite not up to date now =(
for example in sector 1 clinton farm cave, just leads to the town event, not a single cave there....

Pleasse post an S1 map with markers for highest drop rate for each resource: For example, infinite wood is available south of south burb, infinite copper available in south burb mine. Please tell me the locvations of: Infinite Lead, Infinite Steel, Iron(south of embry??) and make a S1 map with little dots please, or I will make one eventually(the lack of any customized maps besides garage/stable is staggering... google yields nothing). this is a lot to sift through and it's hard to say before trying it exactlky how much we will find. Key places like south burb should be identified further. Great post BTW. Make us a treasure map plz!!

Ok I had a couple problems that I figured out, so I'm gonna post the solutions to help out anyone with the same problems.

If you input the coordinates by copy/pasting them into your user folder, and you get a message saying you don't have permission:

Open notepad as administrator, paste all the information from your user folder, follow the instructions for copy/pasting the coordinates, then you can save over your user folder.

Only one waypoint will show up on your map at once, push alt + P to see a list of your waypoints, and choose the one you want.
