We try to be laid back here. Be cool. Minor infractions, in moderation, are generally overlooked - but keep these guidelines in mind:

Don’t be a jerk. Do not disrespect your fellow forumites. That includes mods and staff.

Don’t spam, flood, bump, or advertise (unless explicitly allowed by the sub-forum). Don’t swear. Don’t be obscene.

Don’t post anything illegal, pornographic, or downright gross. Don’t link to it either. We’re not kidding. Try to keep posts at a PG-13 level.

Don’t PM or Report anything just to get it noticed.

Keep avatars to 110x110 or less. Keep signatures to 500x120 with up to 3 lines of additional text.

Don’t backseat mod. If you’re not a mod, don’t act like it.

Stay reasonably relevant to the topic in a thread. Derails are annoying.

Read the pinned topics, FAQs and forum specific announcements. They’re there for a reason. USE SEARCH – we don’t need multiple threads on the same topic.

Post in the appropriate section of the forums. Be descriptive in your topic title. Tag appropriately.

Failing to follow these very simple rules will result in possible suspension, a potential appointment with the banhammer, and annoying the mods.

Make sure to check your specific forum rules, as each may be slightly different, but the above are good general guidelines to follow.
